Or invite. Plenty have ridden the Dream Race rounds that aren't even close to A level riders..........

How is this possible? According to our commander in cheif, GuyB, 2 strokes are irrelevant.

DOH! Well hopefully this comes to fruition. The fans REALLY still dig the two strokes. Three rounds last year was great but 6-7 this year would be even better. It's a great opportunity for fans and racers alike!

One can only hope the Press Release will be that MX Sports is permitting equal displacement racing and FINALLY getting rid of the severely outdated 'Double-Displacement Rule" in Professional Racing. The AMA Classes have always been 125 and 250, with Supplemental Rules for Professional racing.

The only reason why me and bunch of friends went to the washougal national in 2016 was for the 125 race!

Pretty much a copy/pasta from what I got back in 2009. The AMA drops everything squarely in DC's lap.

Your email to AMA President Rob Dingman regarding AMA Racing was referred to me, as I am the Director of Racing. AMA Pro Racing was sold in late 2008 to Daytona Motorsports Group, known as DMG. The Motocross racing is being managed by MX Sports.

The AMA no longer runs professional racing. The AMA does, however, sanction AMA amateur racing and recreational events. The AMA is the largest motorsports sanctioning body in the world.

In AMA Amateur Competition we allow 2-stroke and 4-stroke to compete together.

I will forward your email and concerns to AMA Pro Racing MX Sports President Davey Coombs.

Thank you,

Joe Bromley

Cool to see someone assisting.

After all the comments Ive been hearing recent I think this is peoples thought process.

1. There are a lot of talented people that stretch their(or parents) bank accounts to keep up 2 strokes that compete at local pro/amateur events. J DAY etc (imagine some of their riders in the 250 class at Southwick, woould be cooool)

2. Most couldnt imagine spending the $$ to build a four stroke to compete in that class to properly compete. The money saved could also allow them access to spending money on A kit suspension, reliability and less stress.

3. The people like 2 strokes

I know theres more to it but dam if life was simple...

I couldnt see a 20th place rider hop on a privateer 250 2T and all of a sudden duke it out with Zach Osborne.
In CAN atleast I think the rules are privateer only can ride 250s... I think that is a nice compromise. If they bring back factory 2 strokes the internet will melt
