I hate to be a debbie downer here, but until everyone takes this self isolation and social distancing seriously, this is going to be a tough soak for along time. So many people are effectively ignoring these directives, and this thing will not abate until they do. Some of the pictures and videos I have seen with crowded beaches, spring breakers, crowded trails...holy smokes. MXSports push back till mid June will not be a reality as this graph continues to sky rocket. We are lucky in a sense that dirt bikers/Mtn bikers can get out on their own and still practice social distancing but as a national with 20,000 people? I am hopeful but realistic.

Stay safe everyone.

That's what I'll be doing, perfect time to earn some turns.

Officially off work until next week. Our crew split up in a week rotation. So now I’m waiting on parts so I can stay busy, and hope my gf doesn’t expect me to spend a bunch of extra time with her lol

played in a golf tournament this weekend and they had pool noodles on the bottom of all the pins so. as long as you hit the foam the putt was good, that way hundreds of people aren't touching the pin. parking lot was completely packed, more so than i can ever remember seeing.

hiking/biking trail heads in my area have been over crowded as well.

everybody is off their phones and outside, great to see just wish it were under a better situation

A little time on the Stumpjumper and a TriTip on the Big Green Egg.
I live in the country. I have seen more families out here riding bikes or taking walks than ever better.
Actually kind of cool.

Nice tire on the mountain bike! I work for Schwalbe in product development as a consultant.

Today I got out for quick spin on my bike before heading into work. I went down a quiet country road and ran into a kid riding a Yamaha TTR 110 on his family's acreage. He had a little scramble track set up on the grass with a section on the paved laneway I just sat there and watched him burn a few laps, smiling. For some reason watching this kid ride took me away from the world for a few minutes.

Lucky bugger...where about is that? I'm sitting in a motorhome outside Albany waiting for a flight back home to SAfrica. Was snowing like crazy today so I face another 2 days in here before heading down to Newark airport.

Nice!! Just doing a re-cover or is this a scratch build. I had the 33% Aviation model Yak 54 as one of my giant scale birds. I jumped up into the 35% and 40% as well , but the damn 40% would of cost me around $8,000.00 to finish it.....so I said screw it and stuck with my 35% birds. Hard to say what my favorite size was , since I flew everything from foamies , to larger electric and 30% - 40% birds. All aerobatic , Yaks , Suhkoi's , edge's , Slick's , ECT.....gotta say , I really miss that hobby. I still most all my motors and electronics , but had to sell all my big airframes when I moved into this smaller house. Still have my bigger electrics ( 58" -70" ) and one good sized 33% hand built Columbia Anderson Pitts Stinker , which I couldn't get myself to sell. The damn airframe was about $1900.00. all composite Fuse and airbrushed.

Funny

I’m eating better, getting more exercise & I’m even getting a little bit of work done thru all of this.

Later this week, I should have some Dez-Moto videos with some guy(s) that’s raced Baja a few times...

Mid day cruise on Saturday on a pretty crowded trail. Not a single other bike at the time. All foot traffic.

Beautiful spot is Kalispell. Back in my Albertan days I raced the old Tour of the Flathead bicycle stage race a few times, circa 1995-1998. And skied at Whitefish a fair bit in my younger days.

I think it’s kinda the opposite (in the US at least). Social distancing orders are in place to drag this out and ensure the medical system is not overloaded.

Without social distancing, this peaks in May and a whole bunch of elderly people die because of an overloaded medical system.

If social distancing orders are followed, this thing peaks slower (around July), doesn’t overload the system, and fewer people die.

At least that’s my understanding of the situation.

My friend lives on a street that is popular for parking at Fryman Canyon (very popular hiking area here in the SFV, and my personal favorite). He said he has never seen so many people trying to find a place to park and he has lived on that street for 24 years.

This is why we can't have nice things.

I rode up into Laguna on Sunday and I could not believe the amount of people on the roads and beaches. I thought it was a summer day it was so crowded. Then today I see they closed the beaches....SD closed theirs today too
