Crushes it at Lommel last weekend, then flies halfway across the world only to almost end up on the podium at the 'Dilla. How cool is that?

I was really hoping we'd hear from him after the race. I'd be interested in hearing his perspective/opinion on racing here in America.

He did good! Wonder what he would have done on the bike he's used to?
Sounds daft, but maybe not as good.

Happy for him. He sure comes off as a hard worker, he's growing on me for sure. I'm really looking forward to Glen Helens USGP. Too bad so many good guys are out injured, but it'll still be nice to see them all mix it up there.

Winning at Lommel on a stock bike, 4-8 at Dilla on a works bike. I guess this proves which series is the best once and for all.

LaughingLaughingLaughing this forum is so laughable at times , sometimes you wonder if they even have seen a real race

Don't be a dick. Can we cut all the crap about the AMA vs GP. Simpson finished about where we all thought he would. He would have finished 6-8 if Kroc and CP didn't crash the first moto. There is nothing wrong with saying that as they were both considerably faster when upright. Anyway, he did well. Both series are pretty comparable and we should quit beating our national chests. There are great riders in both series. Shaun deserves all the credit in the world for coming over here and giving it a go. Well done Shaun

Simpson 4-8 in.first ama race 4-8.

I thought upper half of the top 10 would be about right and a good result, so this is much better than I expected. He can be extremely proud. I think his fitness was clearly a problem in that second race rather than his speed. Flying over and jumping into another series is a lot to deal with. But yeah, great added piece of excitement and entertainment for us fans, so congratulations to Shaun!

Thats what hes been finishing the whole year in mxgp to actually. Hes been a solid 9th-6th guy the whole season. But he is alot better at lommel in the seep sand compared to hardpack tracks. He finished where i accpected him to finish. He did good!

One race in the US and with only two races left is 27th overall for the series.

Good results today. I am impressed.

He may have been on a "factory" bike. Watching it go through some of the braking and acceleration bumps the bike was rocking all over the place. It needed more time on set up. Shaun did what he did on a less than friendly bike.

"IF" he could've had a few days of suspension testing and getting used to the new frame, etc... He's a threat to win motos. New bike/ New country/ New track, he shined under these circumstances.

I have a lot of respect for what Shaun was able to achieve today. Very very impressed with him. I basically watched the 450 class today hoping to see him do good and put it in the top 10, after watching his 4th place ride I was clapping at his performance. Awesome ride Shaun!!!

Rv had months of testing, top team, top shelf equipment, and a riding partner that has raced there as a career.

Simpson had a new bike on a Sat team with his closest guys.

Draw your own conclusions, but being hungry is the most important ingredient in the stew.
