Should there be at least one 2 stroke national somewhere in the series?
Or a GP?
MXoN?
All I needs a cool buzz some tasty berms and I'm fine

Glen Helen has a big $$ race for 2 strokes. And sleepy hollow has one one the east coast for a big purse. Coming up soon.
What's done is done,like 2 strokes.
Isn't the reason why we are here is a rule made in the late 60s or early 70s the fim made to keep BSA and Triumph in the spor t ?
Letting them run 105% bigger engines
Change the rules to 200 cc 2 str in mx2 and 300cc 2 str in mx1 , or go cc to cc .

Good idea, or some 500/big bore dream races- even better.

They killed the 500 class back in 88ish ,several reasons were used ,that kinda lead the sport to now.
If the 500 class had continued the 4 str may never had been developed.
And I hated riding 250s back then, having gobbs of power made racing a 500 fun, riding a 250 against a bunch of skinny kids took the fun away.
Now the fun is back with gobbs of power and D9 torque from 450s.
The 125 class is cool, but if they actually made races for the 2strokes why not make it open? More people own 250's and the 125's go through a lot more parts. Open 2 stroke where you can run all the way up to a 500. Now that would be badass.
Add to the MXdN excitement with a mandatory 125cc 2T, 250F, and 450F option or man-up Emig style and go 250F, 450F, and 500cc 2T
Seriously though, the one-off two smoke races are gaining popularity (and exposure), which is better than the scene was even a few short years ago...

The 125 2 stroke race at the Racer X event at MX207 in Maine last weekend was awesome. The fences were lined all the way around the track for all 4 of the motos. The racing was intense and the sounds and the scent of the premix and race fuel was just Fn amazing!!! Click on this guys link and scroll down to the MX207 125 clip.

I heard some scuttle over the weekend that there will be 7- 125 races at the outdoor nationals. 3 on the west coast, 3 on the east coast with a shootout with the top 20 in points from each coast at the final round.
Like I said, just scuttle so don't shoot the messenger!
I pray to God that we see a 125 national series here again one day. Hell even split the coasts and make it regional. The GP's have it figured out and they are getting 40 man gates. So many possibilities with that class and a great way for kids to mix it up with the vets.
" And there goes Jeffro. One of God's own prototypes. A high-powered mutant of some kind never even considered for mass production. Too weird to live, and too rare to die.”
I would love to see a west coast series-Hangtown, Glen Helen, Washougal. A central-Thunder Valley, Spring Creek, Red Bud. An east coast series. pick 3 from High Point, Tennessee, Southwick, Unadilla, and Budds Creek. take the top 13 from each, and let them bang it out at Ironman for the championship.
