Did he go down? Was at work and didn't get to watch the race, but saw he broke his knee cap on the final lap, but still finished 5th. Amazing he can crack his knee cap and even finish the race, let alone get 5th. Bummed for him, he rode really well this year.

Kneecap is an odd injury. It usually causes no pain unless you have a direct impact to it. Then it goes straight to every nerve receptors in your body. Yes, I've busted both of mine.

Ouch. It does sound really painful. I have had full reconstruction, but not a busted knee cap. Crazy it could be painless, sounds horrible.

He had his bike dialed for starts this year for sure. I was really hoping he could pull off a podium this year. I just hope he isn't hurt too bad.
