Anyone had issues with the front of the liner coming un-snapped and not being able to get it back in? Mine has come loose and while I don’t see anything broken, I can’t seem to get it to reattach.

If you are talking about where it slides in at the vents on the front of the helmet then yes it’s a bit tricky. I don’t have mine sitting in front of me but I believe there are arrows that you need to line up. It takes some patience getting all 3 parts slid under the vents properly

It was a little easier on the VFX but just take your time to line up everything. Once you do it a few times you will get the hang of it.

Yes, it's a PITA to get the liner snapped in. For the price of the helmet you would think they would have come up with a more durable and efficient design. The plastic pieces on the front have already deteriorated on mine so I need to order a new liner.

Yes mine is a PITA as well. My new 6D is better in that regard, though the sizing is off. Had to pull off while in the lead at my last race to switch to my shoei because the helmet game me an incredible headache...

Sorry to bump an old thread, but has anyone had Shoei accept a return on their helmet? I bought mine about this time last year, the front part of the liner snapped the second time I used it. It will NOT seat correctly, I've now had to silicone the REPLACEMENT liner for the third time and it still fuckin' sucks. For $600 this oughta be a better product; I've been a Shoei guy since 2004, now looking elsewhere.

Go to your local shop and get them to contact their Shoei rep (Helmet House) they can warranty it.

Go on their website and give them a call. Their helmet come with a five year warranty. I got my liner replaced for free about a year ago.

One thing they told me is to hand wash the liner. I haven’t had a problem since, but I agree that that whole design is a PITA.

Thanks, I sent them an email and it looks like I'll just get a refund. I can't see getting a replacement if it's just gonna happen again... and it sounds like it will - pretty common complaint from what I found. Ordered a 6D a little bit ago.

I have had great experience with Shoei customer service. They warrantied the complete helmet after they sent it to Japan for inspection. I was shocked when they over nighted my replacement from Japan. The front attachment of the liner is a little wonky for sure. The pins only locate it and are not snaps, you have to make sure you get the front portion seated under the lip or it will fall down. I really wish they would redesign it because it’s what i dread about washing the liner!

Mine never set in correctly but I love the helmet and don’t even notice when the googles are on, so I just left it.

Just thought I would follow up for anyone interested... I shipped the helmet to Shoei in SoCal, they replaced the liner and everything looks like it fits perfect now; I will give it a test this weekend to see if it gets busted off again when I put my goggles on.  Dudes at Shoei are legit, helmet was back in my hands in three days; I couldn't believe it was that fast.  Could be a design flaw and happen again tomorrow, but they stand behind their stuff and did what they could to right the situation.  Big thanks to quadz and Don at Shoei...
