Shoei VFX-Evo Fit

I wore Shoei helmets for a long time, but they changed their helmet shapes and they no longer fit my head. I’m an XXL helmet (size 8). I wear a Bell moto 9 and it fits my head shape the best. The EVO gives me a headache from the pressure on my forehead.

Depends on the shape of your head. Try on the size you typically wear.

In my experience they fit similar to others (sizing wise). I'm almost always a Medium and I am with Shoei as well. That said, my Evo seems to fit a little snugger than my previous Shoei vfx-w helmets (still comfy though).

I’ve always worn a size L Shoei and the Evo is no different. I do often need an XL in other brands.

I just went from an XL Moto-9 to a VFX Evo size LG, perfect fit. You can also get the Shoei thinner liner if you feel its too snug. I've always been LG in Shoei and xl in almost everything else..

I'm a medium in the EVO and in the VFX. The only other helmet I have used is the Fox V3 and that also was a medium.

I've had a few of the VFX w models in size large. EVO model is the same. As a rule of thumb I felt like oval shaped heads were most comfortable in Shoei . Round heads favor Bell. Overall very pleased with Shoei fit and finish

Go with the moto-9. The Evo liner is garbage.

I think that if your head is somewhat round'ish lol, then the Shoei is a great fitting helmet. But an oblong watermelon head is not Shoei friendly....a couple of my watermelon head friends complain about that.

make sure sizing is right, I was fitted by a Shoei rep at their booth during an event. My previous VFX-W was a Large and after measuring me they suggested I was actually a Medium. Thats what I have in my new Evo and I love it.

According to them its a common mistake for people to buy helmets that are too large for them.
