Starting to tinker with the new dirtcycles clickers in order to get rid of a bit of initial harshness in the front and slightly unsettled in the shock. Sag is set at 108mm. Interesting to eventually notice that adjusting the rebound in the shock made very little difference even when it’s all the way in or all the way out.

Bike only has 8 hours, any suggestions on what’s going on?

Here’s the steed, 2020 WR250f

Ps. Initial harshness in the front end on small bumps is still apparent. If you have any suggestions on that too, fire away.

No suggestions but like your style with clean bike in the house (or if that is your shop/garage, congrats on your OCD)!

Small bumps or chop? If it’s. Chop increase the rebound. The sag at 108mm seems far off. I would check static sag and start back at 105mm-103mm. With the sag that low your missing part of the stroke that absorbs the hits and can cause that unsettling. Or pending your weight, you need to change spring rates

It sounds like the rebound clicker may have gotten adjusted all the way in too tight, possibly at assembly, jamming the rod into the rebound hole and not letting the rod back out. If this is the case the rebound will be slow and the shock needs to be disassembled to be repaired. The clicker adjustment from all the way in to all the way out should be very noticeable.

What is your weight? Stock shock spring still?

My 2019 yz250f ended up set at 103mm of sag and that was perfect. I had a similar feeling to what you describe in the rear ended of mine when my sag was around 110mm from the dealer. My weight is right on what the factory spring is set for though.

Since then though I removed stock and went to A kit KYB.

Thanks for that! I’ll set it to 103 and see the difference.

I’m a heavy @ 202. The 2020 WR is stiff but I’m slow So I figure they cancel each other out Grinning

I plan on sending my suspension away once I hit 10 hours, but I have a 4 hour enduro this weekend so I was trying to get it comfortable as can be.

The WR is sprung soft. You are way too heavy for it currently. I would go to a local suspension tech and have him order the proper spring rate. This will make a large change. Don’t let him change the valving. It’s best to break it in when springs are changed and see what you like/dislike.

Haha thanks, it’s a shed (garage/shop). Pretty lucky, walls are lined, aircon/heater with a tv and Bose unit, time gets away from ya real quick Grinning one minute it’s 5pm, next minute it’s 4am and the fridge is empty.
