Does anyone have any suggestions for shipping a bike across the country? Looking at buying one from a dealer and don’t have the time to drive out there and back. Also, anyone have a rough estimate of how much it might cost?
I’ve never had anything this large shipped before.

Thanks in advance

I may be willing to do it for you. Let me know what kind of prices you find. Ill figure out what I would need to do it. Feel free to message me. Where in Arkansas are you getting the bike from?

Is it crated? If it is, call Pate Haitian at Echo Global. Just shipped a bike from central Texas to Daytona in a crate, insured for $9000.00 for $275.00. Picked up on Monday, delivered on Friday. You can request a liftgate on either end of the shipment if you don't have a loading dock or forklift. They broker through major freight carriers, not some guy who shows up weeks later with your bike covered in muck from being on an open trailer across the country.

I sold a bike to a guy in Georgia and he sent Wolverine to pick it up. They showed in a nice truck with a 30 plus foot enclosed trailer. Inspected the bike, photo'd it all the way around and had me sign that they picked it up. Seemed pretty damn professional to me. Not sure what it cost.

Then there were the Russian guys who brought me a bike from the Atlanta area in a old Tahoe and small enclosed trailer. Gotdamn Adidas track suits and all. Sketchy, but they delivered!

And then there was the Uship guy who went out on his own and left a wrecked trailer with 15 bikes at some pill poppin convict asshole's house in Washington state who picked through my boxes of parts being delivered to a friend. A couple Vitards here got caught in that one.

Bought many bikes from out of state and had them shipped to Texas. I've used Uship many times with good results.

I paid 3 something from PA to CO. My dad had to crate it up. And I had to get it at the terminal here in Denver. I could prob dig up the invoice and find the name if you really need

Thank you for all the helpful replies! Uship has quoted me the highest price at $500. Dealer asked for $400 through fedex freight. I will check out your guy Newmann. Fastenal does not ship motorcycles btw
