A good coating of this to seal and fill the holes and my AStars are as good as new! It works very well when boots are still new and clean enough for it to stick.

Here is my guess...and it may be a long shot. Check the cotter pin under the foot peg. I bet the pin is bent out a little and sliced it enough to have the rest rub off. Perhaps off a foot dab? I have a few scratch marks on mine from this, but not 100% sure how I did it either. I have not noticed the same scratches since I messed with the pin.

Check the kick start knuckle where the kick start lever pivots out from. I had a 2014 YZ450 & bought new A Star Tech 10s. The edge of the knuckle was razor sharp and cut right into the side of my boot in about the same place. I filed it down & that was a good fix. Hope this helps.
