Great to see that three rounds of the National MX series will include a senior 125 race.
Calling it the "125 Gold Cup" is a bit of an odd choice of name though considering the "GoldenTyre 125 Cup" has been running since 2014 at Echo Valley.
Bet he won't copy the $2000 first prize....

Either way, 125 racing, in any form is good to see, and, not just as a Junior / age level series. As well as young pups, a lot of 125 Championships have been won by people with a few years on them. They are full sized Bikes, and can / should be raced by full sized Humans, not just peach fuzzed nutters
been a senior 125 national class here since 2007
When was 250 vs 250 in the MX2 class introduced? 2007 also?
The Shop
250 2Ts only got put back in MX2 about four years ago, and they dropped the no engine mod rule last year.
More 125's is always a good thing, and that's why I started and mostly fund the GoldenTyre 125 Cup. I guess I will take it as a compliment that the Nationals promoter is copying the name.
I can see a revolt against MA in the not too distant future.
US MX Nationals can make the time at the tracks that have room for East / West 125 regional series.
Who really wants to stay home on Saturday afternoon to watch racing at inconsistent times ? A set time Saturday evening would draw more viewers to their precious television show.
DC's excuse for no regional 125 class at the Nationals is no time with the current TV schedule.
Well that and Honda won't make a new 125.
Should have a seperate 125 state championship for every state and all grades.
There are only 4 senior only races in Victoria for next year..the four vic title rounds. The rest are just region races where you sit there waiting all day through an interminable amount of junior classes, til you get your poxy 3 lap race.
I'm not wasting nearly $400 bucks on a donation to motorcycling asphyxiated for their stupid license just for a four round series.
If there was a separate 125 state championship and loads of opens with a 125 class, I'd buy a 125
If there was an abundance of open senior only meetings on, I would get another bike and make my donation to MA.
But it won't happen , not while the mini bike parents are running the sport in Victoria like they have since the early 90's.
They will do anything to prevent senior only events from happening
