Semi Races Have To Go

The night just drags on... After the heats it's a full hour of racing without the top guys and terrible filler content on the broadcast. I'd like to go back to 9 transfer heats (4 in LCQ) for the 450s and just add more time to the mains.

Just to spice things up add a race between heat winners 1v1 for 2 laps with 1st gate pick and a championship point on the line.

Edit: I'm not saying I want to see less racing, OBVIOUSLY. I'm saying if we get rid of semis we can add time to the mains, or even get two motos.

I agree with you. I get tired of watching non-points paying racing. I'm cool with the first 2 heat races but the semis don't help my viewership.

TV time for those non-top riders and their sponsors is a good thing.

Every rider on the track is bad dude in my book, I just like to watch good racing regardless of which riders do it.

I'm a fan of this and that extra championship point makes it worth it to the top guys. Plus that would add light to sponsorships being as only 2 bikes would be on the track. Good all around

Twitter pays for some weird stuff.....

My brother in law was a director for Twitter. They pay for stuff like that pretty often. Not sure if Feld has an agreement, but it wouldn't surprise me.

I like the Semi's, usually a few top guys in them, racing is usually good. Different guys get camera time, which means different manufacturers and gear companies getting exposure as well. Yeah, lets get rid of all that so we can see the top three guys even farther apart in a longer main event.

I like them. I fast forward through the fluff. (Almost never watch live) Anytime I can watch factory riders race I'll take what I can get.

Semis are a complete waste of time. We all know the top guys are going to be in. Honestly the heats are really only necessary to give track time so we need those. 2 main events is way to go.

I am not a fan of the semis but its not a deal breaker for me. Sometimes they are good, usually they arent. If I had my choice we change the whole thing up, 2 10 min heats, a 5 min Last Chance to get 2 more in the show and then 2 20 min mains. Thats 30 min total racing for an elite factory rider, indoors, at night in cool weather.

No reason they cant do it when they can race for over an hour outside in the middle of summer in almost 100* degree heat.

Use MX points system, each main counts. Spice it up, give 1 point for Heat race win. Can you imagine how these guys would fight during the Heats if the winner got 2 points and 2nd place got 1? Forget the 1 on 1 races for gate pick, you rarely see any passing, its too risky to dice it up for a gate pick and risk missing a main, gate pick isnt a real advantage like Pole Position is. I have always thought racing for gate pick was pretty lame, I have seen someone take holeshot from last gate pick so its really a crapshoot.
