I have a feeling they are going to cut the rhythm lane short and put the corner before the noted cross section. Odd that the the track designers didn't catch this before publishing it..?

I think they have 2 options, because that definitely needs changed.

Option 1, change the first turn and go do the rhthym section

Option 2, keep the first turn the same and turn at the triple. If they would do that, I would take out the double in the sand, and switch out the triple section with the section before it. However, there is still a chance there could be some intersecting after the finish. I would go with Option 1.

DirtWurx, my consultation fee is $100, since this is something I enjoy.

Barcia leading Tomac, followed by Chad and a couple of rookies?

This is an overcomplicated track design, that seems to ultimately make things more dangerous rather than less as the riders have requested in the past...
I agree. Too many what ifs for confusion and possible collisions. They will change this when they make it, they have to. A guy at a desk who doesn't race must have made this crap design. Racers need to make these tracks, or have the most input.

The same thing could have happened at A1 if someone crashed in the first corner and took 20 to 25 seconds to get going. Those big doubles jumped right over the first corner and the end of the start straight. This looks even more problematic though.

My guess would be to veer left after the sand, go behind the berm and re enter the track going right in the last lane closest to the stands

I bet they change it to the second section not coming all the way back across the start lane. They tweak the tracks almost weekly once the dirt gets moved in and they see it in person.

This start layout is not going to work. Make them turn right in the first turn instead of left. Problem solved.
