Can use an old handlebar crossbar pad. Cut it in half lengthwise. Trim to length. Glue it to the seat foam with grip glue and then use various sanding techniques to achieve the desired shape.

I had a buddy that did this and the thing turned sideways after a few rides, pretty funny but it sucked for him lol. Use a decent glue, super 77 probably the ticket

I also have had a tough time with this. Any tricks for getting the seat cover to lay nice over the bump? I tried to heat mine to make it stretch a little more but that almost seemed to make it worse.

As long as you hump it in private, go for it.

This works great, I used to run them, but I never do anymore. I just go with a good ol gripper now.

3M adhesives makes some amazing glues though, I would cut a bar pad in half then take it down to roughly 1/3 of the total diameter height (maybe an inch tall) then glue it in place. Its enough that a cover usually stretches over it well with a tiny bit of an air gap.
