From the 500guy institute of motorcross science.

All figures were from a controlled study other results may vary, see psychologist if you still think 2 strokes are coming back in the next 10 years.

2005 - 3 people revive 3 2strokes

2006 - 4 people buy the 3 revived bikes

2007 - 5 people buy the 3 bikes and revive 2

2008 - 6 people buy the 5 revived bikes one sold twice

2009 - 7 people buy the 5 revived bikes 2 sold twice

2010 - Newman revives 10 bikes and the national average triples until 4 of them go to a museum. new total 6 revived bikes.

2011 - 9 people buy the 6 revived bikes 3 sold twice

2012 - 10 people buy the 6 revived bikes 4 people traded twice.

2013 - Newman buy's all the bikes and revives 12 more, how ever on return from So-Cal getting gas in Victorville CA. all 18 get stolen and sold for scrap almost $200 worth.

And that was the end of it all folks , 4 strokes now rule , 2 strokes are all scraped and can't even drool.

Yes, I must say Goggle's are not much better than they were back in 1982 on the plus side they get made for 50 cents and sold for 50 dollars.

My local dealer to my surprise got two yz 125's this year. They maybe lasted a week before they sold. Quite telling.

I love 250f's but it's quite a bit of bike for a kid off mini's.

I have to stats, but a dealer told me YZ125 outsells all the YZFs in Sweden? He could be wrong with the figues, but seems sales are doing fine with the smokers at least here. I have newer seen so many smokers locally (since the banger era came to bloom 2005 or something). A few weeks ago, the five last bikes that was on track were smokers, and my old 06 was the only one being revived...

I sold my two-stroke to the 30 second girl. 15 seconds for each, but she still said she would buy a four-stroke next time.

Dungey, Villopoto and Stewart (along with 99% of the starting gate in the series that matters) Are out of shape because they ride four strokes.

Your logic is great, tell us more.

false, they ride them because they get paid to. they would all be out front if they were on 250 2 strokes, and the top 10 would still score points on a 125 in the 450 class

You have asked each of them which they would rather ride?

I remember a stewart interview not too long ago where he laughed at the idea of trying to bring back the two stroke.

Ask them all at Budds and let us know facts rather than opinions.

They opened up the 250 class at the big amateur nationals and people are still winning on 4 strokes. I understand everyone likes something different but Vitals opinions wont change the rules.

If you would rather ride a two stroke, good for you. But damn, why does everyone need to like the same thing?

WHat on earth is a 2-stroke?

Dream on pops, KTM is selling 20.000 2-strokes a year and laughing all the way to the bank.

I think it's the lack of scientific data being put into to scientific upgrades that killed the not so scientific 2-stroke

And that was the end of it all folks , 4 strokes now rule , 2 strokes are all scraped and can't even drool.
You know how I know you don't go to motocross tracks?
