What will kids be riding in that class in '09? Yamaha is the only brand with a 2-Stroke 125 right?

They have a schoolboy class that allows 4 stroke now too I believe. Here is the blurb from the AMA update...... A/Pro Sport riders are no longer permitted to participate in the Schoolboy classes: Class 30 “Schoolboy 1” (12-16) B/C: 86-125cc 2-stroke/75-150cc 4-stroke and Class 31 “Schoolboy 2” (14-16) B/C: 100-144cc 2-stroke/126-250cc 4-stroke

Ah, so the Schoolboy 2 will allow 250F's. Thanks for that jndmx.

Thanks for the heads up Larry. I forgot about KTM.

I love watching the Schoolboy 1 class, 125's screaming around the track.

I believe that is a MX sports LL class not AMA.

Actually, I think it's AMA. I found this:

*MOTOCROSS ONLY
Supermini (12-16) 79cc - 112c 2-stroke/75 - 150cc 4-stroke
Maximum front wheel 19”
Maximum rear wheel 16”
Maximum wheelbase 52”

Schoolboy (12-16) 86cc - 125cc 2-stroke/75cc - 150cc 4-stroke
Minimum rear wheel 16"
Minimum front wheel 19"

Schoolboy (14-16) 126cc - 250cc
Minimum wheelbase 53”
(No minicycles or Superminis)

The rulebook doesn't mention two or four stroke in the 14-16 division though.

Here is a link to the rule book.
