Apparently, he (she/it) loves us all. Even Belgians. However, I don't believe "the Man above" (the 'Force" for those Jedi amongst us) interferes with what's happening "down here". Trey's crash was simply bad luck (or bad judgement) and nothing more. I like Trey, as a rider and as a person, but what becomes of his life from now on is entirely up to him and nobody else, deity or otherwise.

Was rough to watch him take another huge crash like that.

Does anyone remember Ferry talking about him and his scrubs in a Matthes podcast? Sure he was saying he told him to tone them down, or warned him he should, or something like that . . Matthes?

A little update from Racer X

Racer X contacted American Honda Racing's Trey Canard this afternoon, and Canard explained that he has indeed rebroken his femur in his crash yesterday afternoon during the second moto at Washougal. The break is similar to the one he incurred in April. Luckily, he has not damaged the rod that his been in his leg since he originally broke the femur at Washougal in 2008, so the injury is not as complicated as it could have been.

When Canard broke his femur this year, it knocked him out of racing from April up until last weekend's return at Millville, so chances are he will not be able to return for the conclusion of the 2011 Lucas Oil AMA Pro Motocross tour. Look for a more exact timetable to be released soon via his team. And we'll keep you posted on his status.

Yeah, it pretty much goes without saying that he's bummed. The whole recovery process is still fresh in his mind from the last time around, which makes this even more disappointing

He had clearance from three doctors before he returned to action this time around, so it's not like it was a rushed or questionable thing. As for the crash, he did say clippIng his front tire on the second lip is what messed him up.

Yes, he's expecting to be fully ready to go by A1.

Get well soon, Trey.
GuyB - was Trey walking on it or in a cast crutches?

Seeing him doubled over that long was awful. Best wishes for a speedy recovery TC.

That's a huge bummer. After doing the Catching Up video on him for Alli Sports at Millville, he looked great and very happy to be back. I could tell the time off the bike bummed him out and was so great to be back riding again. That crash at Washougal was tough to watch. Heal up and keep your head up Trey!

That kid has real heart. Seeing that crash live on Speed really freaked me out. My wife came running into the room because I yelled (expletives removed) loudly.

Get well Trey. You're an amazingly talented rider who finally has the speed and skill to match all comers....

He had crutches, and was waiting on a wheelchair to get to the plane.

Was gutted when I saw what happened him, my heart sank when he held his leg. I hope he recovers well and comes back in 2012 as strong as he was in sx in 2011.

Get well soon trey!
