He's headed back to Oklahoma already. Yep, the femur's fractured again, and once it's healed again, he'll be looking at getting the pins and rod that are already in there removed.

Yeah, it pretty much goes without saying that he's bummed. The whole recovery process is still fresh in his mind from the last time around, which makes this even more disappointing

He had clearance from three doctors before he returned to action this time around, so it's not like it was a rushed or questionable thing. As for the crash, he did say clippIng his front tire on the second lip is what messed him up.

Yes, he's expecting to be fully ready to go by A1.

Get well soon, Trey.

Awesome! Thanks Steve.
It seems encouraging Trey was able to fly and have a chat at the airport.

Get well, Trey!

2. Don't crash

Is a freshly broken leg easier to fracture? I thought when a broken bone heals it makes it tougher?

|

7/24/2011 7:21 AM

i wonder if the rod and pins somehow contributed to the re-fracture?

Ah, scottie beat me to it. Exhibit A that yes, you actually can be too lame to post on Vital.

|

7/24/2011 9:07 AM

Oh man.......what the hell "haterssuck"?

On the Tey thing.........I'm so bummed for the kid. I was really pulling for that kid yesterday and when I heard over the loud speaker that he had gone down , and then the red flag came out.......My stomach went into my throat. It was a really good 2nd moto......but knowing Trey got hurt again.....kind of ruined it for me a little.

And there goes Jeffro. One of God's own prototypes. A super high-powered mutant of some kind never even considered for mass production. Too weird to live, and too rare to die.

I'm not sure I understand this. Perhaps his language could have been chosen a bit more carefully, but the point that some riders need to check themselves and perhaps ease off a touch, especially when they are entering back into the racing after a layoff, has been made a million times in regards to Stewart. Also when speaking of Stewart and his refusal to slow down, people are often a lot more brutal and insulting than the posts were here, so what about his post is so much worse than the hundreds that have been made on this site already?
