I hope he proves me wrong, but I see him being a 7-10 place guy. Good for Joey though

Bike looks sweet!

He'll be a Josh Grant without the injuries. From that standpoint, he's an upgrade.

Joey’s shown he has that natural crazy speed at times. I definitely wouldn’t be surprised to see him crack the top 5.

I agree. And if you look at his 250 career it is very similar to Cole Seely, only Joey has been much better outdoors. And no one here would bag on Cole Seely as a 450 rider.

I don’t get it, does he have dirt on someone at Kwai? He just finished, what 10th place doing all 12 rounds of the outdoors? I understand he is fast on days, but how does he get a Factory ride???

We are all wondering that. The most logical thing to me would have been to keep grant and sign adam the year after.

Lets just be happy he is moving up because the 450 class is starving for talent right now.

Rumored to be a one year deal but here's why he's got the opportunity. Fairly consistent over the past couple years. By example, Cole Seely turned out quite well in the 450 class and he missed out on his SX 250 titles and never had the outdoor results that Joey has.

I really like Josh Grant, but he's had more than a few chances to get it done on Factory Bikes. It's time for JS17 to move up, and it's nice to see Kawasaki reward him for a few years of consistent effort. Podiums aren't out of the question. He's got nothing to lose on a one year deal. Show us what you've got, Ginger Hooter!

How short Savatgy really is? Seems he needs girls starting blocks under his boots.
Monster cup.. he sure hopes Zacko is not healed yet.

If you put Mitch back in time when he first saw Joey, do you still think he signs him?

Yup, he's gotten him wins and has come close in titles, closer than some of the other riders he's had in the same time-frame.

He was one corner away from a SX championship. Which is closer then any other PC rider recently.

He's average height for a pro moto guy.

So, slightly taller than the average jockey?

I like the way the guy handles himself and his style. Always frustrating to see him blow opportunities though. I'm glad he's getting a shot and hope he makes the most of it.

I get it, but Mitch doesn’t sign guys for some podiums. Using that logic didn’t work for Alex Martin when he had essentially 3 straight years of second place finishes in the outdoors and a solid indoor effort. He is on his third team in 3 years.

Is it just me or did Kawi totally butcher the look and flow of the 18 with the new plastic?! IMO the body style of the 16-18 450/ 17-18 250 was the best they've had in a long time.

Not a fan of his but good for him. Not a ton of factory rides for those guys. If a 1 year deal seems to be keeping the seat warm for AC in 2020.
