I just listened to the pulp show with
AC and when they where talking about
PC re signing Marty
AC flat out Said Savatgy is out
1st I've heard that he was out for sure
Sorry if I've missed it being said before
But anyway
That brings the question
What Team do yall think he is going to ?
If they know for sure he is out already
My guess would be that he is already signed some where
Just a guess though.

That's not really accurate. Just because someone has won races or championships in the 250 class it doesn't automatically mean they'll adapt to the 450 and be as successful as they were on the little bike. A rider might have the potential to win races but it doesn't mean they will.
Here's a few examples.
Jake Weimer, 1 time 250 SX West champion. Moved up to the 450 class in 2012. He's had some podiums but has yet to win a race.
Christophe Pourcel, 2 time 250 SX East champion. Moved up to the 450 class in 2011. Has 2 podiums and no wins.
Dean Wilson, 2011 250 outdoor champion. Moved up to the 450's in 2014. Got 2 outdoor podiums last year and has yet to win a race.
Jason Lawrence, 1 time 250 SX West champion. Moved up to the 450's in 2009. 1 outdoor podium, 1 SX podium and no wins.
Some guys just ride the 250 better than the 450 just like some guys ride the 450 better than the 250. As for Savatgy we have yet to see what he can do on a 450 so he could end up being very successful in that class or struggle adapting to the big bike and never reach a podium again.
2004 & 2005 250 SX West champion
2005 250 outdoor champion
I'll edit it.
Imo they are Both pro Classes
Just a little different style
It is Not a development class and shouldn't be
There have been some that
Didnt think they where ready to move up
But where forced (Trey was one )
J.Mart turned pro in 2012.
Pit Row
Davalos: 12 SX Seasons
Osborne: 9 SX Seasons
J. Mart: 5 SX Seasons
Crazy to think that Davalos still hasn't pointed out after 12 seasons. He's got the record for most 250 SX starts. I can't remember the exact amount but it was mentioned on the broadcast this season. I know it's over 70 starts.
