Had a crash in the woods today. I washed out the front end in a rut and went down elbow first on a fallen pine tree. The tree had a bunch of short broken off branches and one got me. Blood immediately started pouring from my forearm. I quickly took off my jersey and tied it tightly above the wound to slow the bleeding. I wrapped it up further when I rode the mile back to my truck. A buddy drove me to the ER where I received a bunch of stitches. It didn't hurt very bad at all. I may invest in more body armour though....
Heal up soon!
The Shop
Hope you heal up soon DC. That sucker looks nasty. Looks almost identical to what happened to my left knee when it got in contact with my foot peg many years ago. Skin is really elastic , so it's weird seeing it pull apart like that , only to be pulled back and stitched.
Heal up soon.
Pit Row
Glad you're okay. Heal fast.
Here's the bike.
Well you got some nice photos & a good story for your high school reunion
PM it to DC you'll have the pleasure of freaking people out in next month's Racer X
I would never clean that bike. Ultimate intimidation factor in the pits and on the line.
