The local East Valley track--ET made some changes to the table table in the middle. Not sure why, probably for the younger riders.
I only saw one guy triple it all night, but landing in the pit was no fun either as you bottomed out HARD. Tough to learn at night as the second gapper was complete darkness.
Hopefully they can improve the lighting there or I need to learn it better in the day.
The sun was on the horizon and looking west directly into it was tough to see. On the second or third lap I tried going around EJ in the finish corner out in the soft stuff. I must have caught a RUT I never saw as my front wheel knifed and I pile-drove head first to test my Leatt and I must say it works. It was one of those INSTANT crashes that you have no time to think, just the next thing you know you are on the ground...
First moto
Second moto was at night and I got the start. Thought I spotted a red fender and didn't know who it was, next thing I know "the Edge" goes blowing by me at a pretty good clip.
The new section had a blackout area that I didn’t feel comfortable on and after my first moto bail my confidence wasn’t 100%. So I decided to just stay where I was but on the third lap I noticed the Edge wasn’t really getting away so I turned up the juice and layed the pressure on.
Then it was EJ’s turn for a mistake as he did a Speedway impression right in front of the grandstands where I had crashed. Even though I wasn’t doing the “blind leap of faith” I was able to keep the pressure on and with three turns to go put the outside pass on EJ after the back straight. It was a fourth gear pass and I think I got him by surprise as I rode her home to the checkers.

If you didn't triple you landed in a pit and CASED it hard, they need to work on it. Also practicing in the daylight would help.
The Shop
The local paparazzi dude took the pics, he told me had killer sunset shot that I would like--he roped me in good.
motokid yea I'm too freaken old to be jumping gaps that are not lit up properly. Especially after crashing the first moto, kind of takes the wind outa you're sails for a spell.
112! Holy Moly it's freaken May--set a record!
The cold brew sure did go down good, we got outa there at 2am!
