Its cool to really see some guys struggle as they dial in the track....

Some of those coming up short could have hurt their ankles....

That was awesome seeing them struggle to clear that triple out of the corner. I hope they dont change it like they changed the whoops last weekend. Makes for good racing!!! Track looked pretty technical, its gonna be a JS7 night!

Odd how they only let them ride 2 sections of the track. Is it not fully built yet?

I guess you need a CRF250 to do that 3-2 before the triple...

It's not odd at all, its typical of Thursday press days.

How come they have so many riders. Usually they only have a couple teams per race for press day. A team has 2 press days per season except the Top 3 that ride A1 and Vegas... Seems like Mikey is riding all of them

Maybe they're letting so many ride because they know that the only section of the track that will separate the wheat from the chaff is the (hopefully) super gnarly whoops straight?

You think going three, two, three is faster than two, three, three? I mean it's the same amount of ground/air time, interesting

two-three looked faster to me than three two... and much easier to do so less chances of crashing.

Forget the 450, just sign tomac up for the SX1 class on his 250. He'll do fine.

I guess I can't watch Racer X videos anymore. They'll let me sit through the fuckin ad, of course, but then the "video stream is unavailable."

So Tomac's going pretty good? I don't need no video to see that.

Dirt works seems to have scooted the berm back about 5-10 feet more than normal. This will make the inside lane about as equally as fast as going wide (if the riders notice and develop a rut).

You don't take in consideration the corner speed before. On the gas to triple and slow to only double. Plus, when you triple you go over the big one (3rd jump) so you, technically, stay lower. When you triple out, you go high and land with less speed than the guys going 3-2. So, that said, 3-2 is faster... It's not 5 seconds faster but anything help at this level...

They rarely get to ride the whole track. It's often limited to a small portion. Like last week at A2, they didn't get to do the side with the whoops.

Right. They had an odd angle into it, since it was an abbreviated section of the track.

Cant wait to watch it live.. Tomac looks like a completely different rider this year.. Not only his speed and consistency but his style has changed and he has grown a bit or something. Just looks different , really fun to watch. Really looking forward to some live racing again.

DV, you are right about the corner speed... Not sure about air time; they seem to go pretty high when tripling first as they have to clear that bigger jump... they have to preload and jump high while when doing double triple they seem to have a better flow. I think your theory makes a bit more sense for the top 450 guys... although I'd be interested to see JS come through the field and cut the inside, double, stay really low on both triples and have the inside coming into the next corner.

We'll see tomorrow; Tomac and Seely should be up front doing triple double so you are right. Merci pour l'implication sur le forum. C'est mieux d'avoir l'opinion dun gagnant que de dire nimporte quoi et ne pas savoir la vérité.

Huh, wonder if everybody gets to ride press day? I know they've been doing press day for years...but still seems like an unfair advantage to those who get to ride (meaning selected) for press day.

I say this every week. They are giving us some amazing track designs this year minus Anaheim 1. Every week just been great. I love that triple-double or double-triple option before the big triple or you can hit the inside and single, double, double. Just great.

That single, double double option might prove interesting as well.

Not everyone gets to ride press day, like DV said only a couple teams get to do it. As far as being unfair, i dont see it as such. At the level those guys are at it takes but a couple laps for them to have the track dialed. If it was all us Joe shmoes out there then sure, it would be a disadvantage. But Reed himself said he wishes they only had one practice as that is all it takes to get the track down.
