This one makes me wonder a bit as we had Nascar going into overtime during the Supercross cast on Fox's main network...which could account for the big spike.

Take the ratings any way you can get them, that equals advertising dollars. Following Nascar or leading off before them may be a brilliant concept for Monster. Piggyback marketing and advertising on TV is a very successful technique.

Pretty sure the viewers are calculated from an Average over the 3 hour broadcast.

I'll take what we can, growth is growth

Maybe all the NASCAR fans set their DVR's to record the supercross in case the nascar race went long?

Isn't $1M viewers the bench mark between paying Fox to air the race...and getting paid by Fox to air the race?

No. Fox already pays for it. That change happened a few years ago. How much? Probably not very much.

I wonder if they are counting viewers on ipads and phones. I know I started the night on Fox Sports Go and then switched over. Fox Sports Go is bad ass btw

There's also the addition of Canada and the streaming service feld offers. Be nice to know those numbers.

If they want to see record numbers in attendance have a round in Australia, our little SX play race the Aus-X Open sells out.

I know, not going to happen......

The biggest races according to ratings had threads on here of 9 and 11 pages.

You'd think a 23 page thread would have more viewers, but evidently not.

That stadiums small tho. Looks like 20,000 capacity. Need a bit 60,000 place to go. That a lot more people to bring out!

getting people to watch a relatively unknown sport (lets be realistic) it needs to be lined up around a large event such as nascar to "hook" more people into viewing it. when you get them hooked then you can get them to watch more as time goes on

Does this number also count the people that watch the international streamed broadcast? I assume not because I imagine this is pure fox viewers only but the fact the events were earlier in the day probably helped if they do count them.
