A lot of talk that the sport is dying. I am encouraged by what I saw by these guys tonight. That race was fooking awesome.

Too bad this wasn't broadcast on NBC. This would have definitely brought in more casual fans between the racing and announcing. And the 450 main is still to come.

Edit: I am not familiar with Jeremy Albrecht, but his parts of the show are very informative for those of us who don't ride/race dirtbikes.

Shimoda has been so impressive. He’s picked up speed but he’s never out of control. He looks smooth and always in control. This win will add even more confidence too. I

Jo Shimoda always seemed nice and cordial when I'd see him in the pits, but I became a real fan when he said he was disappointed after his first podium because he felt like he didn't "earn" it. Well he most DEFINITELY earned this win today... to stay composed and mistake-free under constant pressure is a skill even more valuable than raw speed

He’s a legend! Was a professional mechanic for years and then was the manager of a factory level team for years after that. He’s a real one, for sure.
