Man dies in freak motocross accident at Broadmeadows Motorcycle Park
A 21-YEAR-old man has died after a freak motocross accident in Melbourne's north tonight.
Early reports suggest the young rider was thrown from his bike when he attempted a "double jump" on a specially designed track.
He had been riding on at the Broadmeadows Motorcycle Park about 8.30pm when the accident happened.
It's understood the man, from Mill Park, was conscious when paramedics arrived but died soon after.
"He was unconcious but had a weak pulse," Ambulance spokeswoman Susannah Wilson said.
"Paramedics inserted a breathing tube to help him but unfortunately he died at the scene."
