If there were to be one Supercross race featuring these stars/top performers of SX since the RC/CR/JS era onward, how do you guys think it would go, and what would be the results? This is assuming they are all in their respective primes.

Riders: James Stewart, Ricky Carmichael, Ryan Villopoto, Chad Reed, Ryan Dungey, Eli Tomac, Cooper Webb, Jason Anderson, Ken Roczen, Kevin Windham

I know there are a few names on this list some people may find questionable. I included Roczen and Windham because while they aren't premier class SX champs, they won a good share of races and are considered by many to be among the better/best SX racers from their eras. And I know Anderson hasn't had the greatest time over the past three seasons, but he did win a championship in '18, so I definitely think he's part of this group.

If you're one of those Webb haters and don't like him in this race, well, I don't know what to tell you. He has two 450 titles. That more than qualifies him to be included in this group.

What about McGrath??? I would take anderson off, he may be a champion but I don't think he is at the level these guys are at all. However, that is my own opinion and probably not the norm.

I didn't know what to do with McGrath. He was from such a different era of SX and I figured if I included him the whole thread would end up being an argument as to whether he would compete or not, so I just decided to simplify things and make it from the time RC was winning championships to now. McGrath only had a couple decent seasons in this era, as it was late in his career, but like I said I thought having him included would make things very complicated. And I get what you're saying with Anderson, but I felt like if I left him off there would be some angry people and he did win a title so I figured I would include him.

I find it hard to believe that 2007 Stew, 2005 Carmichael or 2011-2014 Villopoto couldn't compete against Tomac, Webb, and Roczen. If anything I would say that more times than not, they would beat them.

He would definitely be up there. As long as he doesn't crash, it would be hard for anyone to beat him

I think Reed is the only guy to beat all on the list.
(Not sure if JS raced CW, though)

And there you have it; while you don’t instantly think of Reed as the fastest, in a championship with all those riders, there’s no way 2003-2011 Reedy isn’t on the podium.

He’s beaten RC, JS, RV, RD, in their prime years.
Think of the wins in 2003, then 2014. Stunning.

Circus act at this point. All those guys were bad ass in their day. But today, a podium would be a longshot.

JS hands down. I think it is funny how looking back JS seems to get slower than he ever was and CR seems to get faster than he ever was.

In order of riders mentioned, I'd say JS, RC, RV, ET, RD, CW, CR, KR, KW, JA.

James Chad and Ricky were in a league of their own, on any given night any of them could win..
Not to shit on today’s riders, but I just don’t think they were on that level..

As chad said himself... Greatest racer is RC4..
But fastest racer.. 2007 Stew, Reeds reckons we will never see that speed again.

People forget Reed only lost the 2003 season by 2 points. He won 8 racers straight against Ricky.
If reed didn't have that 1 crash that put him off the podium. he would of beaten Ricky for a sx title In his rookie season.

But again.. them 3 where all business. the intensity of them podiums and press conferences was ridiculous.

All in their prime? One race? JS7 has a 50/50 chance of winning or crashing. Full series, RC4.

I didn’t remember MC punting Stew off the track on the first turn! 😂

Wasn't 2003 fuel gate where CR was robbed of points?

2004 Chad lost points, 2006 Ricky threatened to quit and got his points reinstated

When Stew was on and in his prime, I can't imagine anyone touching him. I watch some of his races and he absolutely destroyed the whoops regularly. Maybe they build the whoops differently now but you just don't see that kind of careless speed through the whoops anymore.

Speaking of this...Feld should go back to 2005-2011 SX track maps and recreate them for the 2022 SX Season...these look technical and Stewarts fastest was only 47.1. Cause of the face of the jumps.

RC, RV, JS CR were all racers who were willing to push it to the absolute limits to get it done, only Webb in recent years has the heart of those 4 and only tomac has the ability of Stewart when he's on.. James and the other 3 were always on

Yes they would contend.

Outdoors I don't see how Carmichael could loose in any era.

I 100% agree. Carmichael was the fastest outdoors racer ever. In SX, he was fast, but he was mortal. There were plenty of times when Stew was faster than him, and there were even quite a few times when Reedy had the advantage, like the 2003 season in particular.
