Seems within reason. A stock pv50 weighs 141 lbs (64kg)

I didn't think that through. 82kg seems about right considering the engine.

I'm a big vintage mini's guy (mini trails, etc)... yet I somehow have never heard of the PV50... I assume it wasn't sold in the US??

PV was the most popular 50cc in the 80's and 90's. At least in Finland it was.

Oh ok... Yea we definitely did not have those here in the US. The Honda Z50 dominated the US market in the 80s and 90s, but in the 70s mostly every manufacturer offered something similar to the PV50 (Kawasaki KV75, Suzuki MT50, etc)

Honda Z50 was semi-popular here too. But PV50's two stroke engine was way easier to tune up, so that was the road to PV success here I guess. Not that anyone tuned those as much as these stunt freaks guys. Grinning

Reminds me- around here I see groups of total spodes on those Ruckus things. And these dudes
have clearly dropped a ton of money in their leathers and on the bikes (Obviously there is money to be
made from fools in that market!). It would be funny to smoke them on one of these. hahahha
