....now that i ride a 4 stroke its seems like the 4 stroke bike gets away from you faster and more unrealised in the air, than the 2 stroke. It seemed like stewart didnt realise he was about to crash until right at the end.

Really? We're gonna bring this up now? Factory bikes are only a few pounds different between the 4-stroke and 2-stroke eras. It's not like he's jumping a 300lbs lawn mower and it might land ontop of him. The only way you can justify this post is that he wouldn't have even tried that jump on a 250.

He knew it was gone when he hit the lip, climbing on the back fender and panic revving show that clearly. He just tried to save it instead of ejecting.

he wheelied out of the turn and his front wheel basically missed the lip...so that resulted in his rear only hitting the jump face and bucking him forward. So in short, I think we would have seen the same result had he wheelied any type of bike up to the jump face. This coming from a 2 stroke lover :]

Ya, I see what you're saying...he may have had the front wheel lifted and not really realized it?

The Daytona track freaks me out every year...some of the speeds they hit the jumps at and some of em are abrupt/cupped out. You see people endo or almost endo like dozens of times throughout the day.

So you didn't hear his bike panic revved out all the way from the face of the jump?

Dude that technology is so trick he could sit at home, change the parameters, up load to a satelite feed and control James like the guy with the voodoo doll. All he would need is a middle man at the track,,,,,,,,

he must have nicked the throttle then...to have it spit him over and off like it did.

when in doubt...gas it!

james is an awesome awesome racer...but the squid moves he pulls on a basis that seem much too frequent to me are hard to fathom, coming from james and the level he is at,

these squid moves are too numerous to mention but if you think back over the years you can surely come up with a dozen or so.

not good either way...be like joe montana sprinkling a few pick six's amongst the 4 or 5 touchdowns more than once out of 20 or so games. 5 yard line pick six's....crazy i tell ya.

To me it looked like he got a bit more traction than expected after the first little jump, so when it wheelied and the front end didn't come down before the lip, he was just along for the ride. I don't think any amount of panic revving would have helped overcome how hard the rear suspension was loaded...and unloading.

Exactly. He knew the moment he went off the lip he was in trouble.

300 lb lawn mower , I've rode a few bikes that felt that way.

He did not get enough traction, his front tire hit the face of the jump not the downside. He came up way short on that jump from what I seen.

How do you get that, when he was panic revving from almost the moment he took off.

It's obvious he crashed because the front wheel never hit the jump, I don't think it was a fluke though. I think he had his weight a little too far back, which gave him better traction & a lighter front end. I bet he knew it from the second he grabbed the throttle, but until he was in the air, thought he could save it.

I am notifying PETA............................................................unless of course, that is a male hammerhead. In which case I say have at it.

Interesting factoid........................Male sharks have TWO penises called "claspers" and they can be as large as 4 feet or more.

Hard to tell on tv but did sort of look like typical 4 stk induced concussion, cant remember last time I seen a 2 stk endo coming out of a corner like Dungey when his let go.

No matter the weight, it's still a 4 stk and the front falls from the sky at an alarming rate.

Do the same thing on a two stroke and you get the same result.
