Was “floating” the rear brake drum just a fad?

We dont “float” rear disk calipers.

Awesome post. Thank you! Anyone can buy a new bike and bolt on parts. Takes a real fan of the sport to locate and restore to new the bikes that made this sport. So much more character and uniqueness than anything since 2000.

A lot of beautiful machinery, thank you for posting.

I had a flashback to 1974 of walking through the pits at an NESC race at Southwick Motocross 338 when I was a kid. What an era to grow up in.

Been a YZ guy my whole life except for 1 year on an RM80...but those 87 CRs are bitchen'. Holy crap.
Someone said Broc and or RJ were there? What were they riding?

Rick didn’t ride. Broc was riding a Honda Elsinore 125 very fast. Saw him over jump the finish line table top one lap.
