Both of these (ones like them) bring back great memories, as they were my first (Penton) and second (Husky) real race bikes! Thanks for the pics, Herb! smile

Was “floating” the rear brake drum just a fad?

We dont “float” rear disk calipers.

Art. Thank you.

Awesome post. Thank you! Anyone can buy a new bike and bolt on parts. Takes a real fan of the sport to locate and restore to new the bikes that made this sport. So much more character and uniqueness than anything since 2000.

That #11 Maico is beautiful. Those were around on the track back in my day. I appreciate them more now.

A lot of beautiful machinery, thank you for posting.

I had a flashback to 1974 of walking through the pits at an NESC race at Southwick Motocross 338 when I was a kid. What an era to grow up in.

Been a YZ guy my whole life except for 1 year on an RM80...but those 87 CRs are bitchen'. Holy crap.
Someone said Broc and or RJ were there? What were they riding?

Rick didn’t ride. Broc was riding a Honda Elsinore 125 very fast. Saw him over jump the finish line table top one lap.
