The riders are told where to finish by the ama prior to the race. Chase was told he was to get third that Moto and to put on a good show for the fans with Eli. They did exactly that. Ferandis knew he was going to win that Moto and was told to maintain until the white flag and let tomac get close. The earth is also flat.
