So, love the stuff. The shine, the smell. My question. Are there any drawbacks to SC1? I've used a couple cleaners thru the years that had their pluses and minuses. Anything bad about SC1 or is it THE choice for making new or old plastic gleam?

1) cost
2) nothing else

Just don’t get any on the seat, brake pads or rotors.

Only thing bad about it is when showing up to look at a used bike advertised as “mint condition.”
Fuckin thing looks like a million bucks as you walk into the garage only to discover upon closer inspection that the roached POS is actually worth a thousand less than asking price.

The only issue that I've ever had with it is it does irritate the skin a bit. But the ladies respond. Trust me.

I use wd-40 in the same manner. I'll load up under the fenders and anywhere I can to prevent mud from sticking as well. Much cheaper.

Silkolene pro prep is about the only thing that comes as close to the greatness of sc1. No downfalls for me as long as you avoid common sense mistakes. (Seat, brakes, grips, levers)..

I use it in the outside of my boots and keeps them looking new. Light coat on my hubs and rims makes shine like a new dime lol

No thanks.

The only thing better than SC-1 is SC-2, and it is not out yet. :-)

I would like to publicly apologize for those of us that buy products made by "the industry" to help support "the industry".

Mop n Glo, Pledge, WD-40, etc. could not give a *#$% less about dirt bikes.

Went to look at a used Truxedo tonneau cover. Guy said it was only a year old but looked roached. Offered him $100 for it, he took it. Got it home, washed it with soap and water, looked great wet but when dried it looked grey and crappy. Was thinking I shouldn't have bought it. Then remembered the SC1, went and grabbed a can. Sprayed that thing down, let it sit for a couple minutes and then wiped it down. Thing looked looked great! My brother came over latter and saw it, first comment was "thought you were buying a used cover!"

I like where this is going.. what all outside the box stuff have you used it on?

Works well on any black plastic on my truck too, and engine bay.

Most of the time i use LOL merely as an expression but this is one of those rare times it applies quite literally... Thanks for the mid-day chuckle.

I always used the old school solutions of Armor All or WD 40 until a few months ago. Then the Pulp guys finally wore me down with their raving about it. I would never go back now. I was so happy with the added bonus of the smell that I told my wife i5 is like "dirt bike perfume" and made her stand in the garage with me when I sprayed it! IMO, SC1 is the best thing since Maxima chain wax!!
