After listening to Ryno's interview on the Whiskey throttle show, I thought to myself, damn this guy would make an awesome color commentator for SX.

I'm not a Ryno super fan or anything, but he's honestly one of the most articulate guys I've listened to in the sport. His knowledge about the sport is almost second to none when it comes to why someone is doing something on a motorcycle and his first hand experience of running a team and training riders would provide some useful insight.

Most importantly, I really think he would speak his mind and call the riders out when he needs to.

I agree with you he's a great speaker and he would have my vote for commentating. However I think he might be too serious for a modern TV personality. Ralph and Ricky are very cheesy and play up the show to seem like things are more exciting. I can't see Ryno in that seat

Bailey was my favorite

I think I remember him filling in for David Bailey when Bailey was competing in a triathlon or something . Ryan was out with injury. He did ok.

It would be awesome...right up until they pull the plug (literally) when he spoke the truth about something (most likely something Monster-related, or anything positive about the Outdoor Nationals, which shall never be named)…

I've met him, and he's actually a really nice guy. I like him (even if he is a bit loony on some topics....)

I've been to one of his schools this summer. He's not the most personable guy. Actually, I think he really didn't look many people in the eye but a few. I couldn't tell you if he wants to do this.......

BUT, for a motocrosser he was the most articulate, passionate guy who could speak without "hmm" and "oh" and "ah" as I have ever come across. He knows his stuff. If you asked a question, he had an answer and could articulate that answer with good speaking and English.

If I was a billionaire, I'd buy the rights to supercross and make this happen.

I would love to hear it, but I think he's a bit heavy / intense for the general public. He'd probably be great trackside, actually.

He would be great for 3-4 races per season. But I can only handle the guy in doses. I'd get fed up listening to him Every race

Like others said, he'd be great, just not every round. I think that goes for all the "color analyst" guys. Why not switch it up?

Ryan actually did do a small amount of color commentary, he comments on the broadcast for one of the 250cc class motos at the 2000 Unadilla national. There is a funny point where Robby Reynard waves someone by and Ryno talks how he just "sickened" by it.

First thought was when Dennis Miller was in the booth for NFL. It was great, but so many people hated it. I loved Ryno’s whiskey interview, and I’ve never been a huge fan. He seems like he’s crushing life his way and It’s awesome to hear/see.

NO. He's the only dude I could not listen to on the Whiskey Show. He had cool stories but his delivery is terrible. I can only listen to so much psychology babble....

I’d love it. Ryan has a ton of knowledge and has a passion for the sport. I think he’d be good at it.

So funny he said that after starting the fight. Lol, that guy.
