Ryan Sipes is already an American hero, but that is about to go to a whole new level since he announced last night on the show he will be racing a 125 in the 250 class at Muddy Creek.

The 2-Stroke Nation can rejoice in this awesome news.

There goes my hero...........

He should ask Stank Dawg how well that's going to work out!
Actually, that dude didn't do half bad.

He was a fan favorite and did better then most would have expected. But that don't pay the bills!

True true but I'm not sure what the alternative was. Not like if he was on a 250f he was going to be top 5.

If he wears jeans and a long sleeved T-shirt while holding the throttle WFO on the 125, fans at the track will faint, and the internet will explode.

Hopefully he will have better luck than Steinke getting that bike to hold together for the motos.

I think Sipes will do better than Steinke did. Not top ten or anything, but I believe his results will be close to top 15 barring any bike issues or crashes.

Not sure who all was in the class but he won the 125 exhibition race there last year in the mud if I am not mistaken. Sipes is one of my favorite riders. Super cool dude. Also First American to win an ISDE overall??

If he still RIDES TWICE DAILY...

Way under the radar he ran high point 450 last yr and pulled off a 15th overall. I think the results initially didn’t even have his name right. Good for Ryan... one of very few pros still lining up for the love of the sport.

On the contrary, he MADE money riding the 125. He stated in interviews that he had paying sponsors that contracted him to ride the 2 stroke.

Steinke said the motors were always reliable outside the obvious grenading of a piston now and then. Most of this problems were transmission, which, according to him, Husky changed after that model year. #stankdog doing the common man a favor.

I would assume Sipes would have a better bike considering he is on the factory off road team.

I don't get the bike not holding together issue for Steinke!! 125's ran for many many years with zero problems whether it was a privateer or factory guy. Surely Steinke didn't push his Husky harder than the guys were pushing the bikes back in 2002!!!

What was it like 3 years ago he did an MX race on Saturday and a GNCC on Sunday? Dude is built like a brick shithouse. Love watching him ride. Can't wait to see what he can do on the Two Fiddy.

I think the issue is more about him not having too many spare parts.

Sipes is on another level than Steinke. Hopefully he puts it in the top 20!

And it got him the publicity to be able to race the RBSR 2 stroke event, which he went on to win! I'm sure there was a paycheck there.

I believe so, I just dig the dude. He is a modern era Mike Brown.

Pretty sure Stienke's biggest issue was qualifying in deep, wet, tilled, loamy soil, and the occasional tranmission, Once the track dried and shaped up he was good to go, Sipes should be fun to watch.

Ryan is on his own team this year and doing a few GNCC’s and a few Sprint Enduro’s and a few flat tracks and ..... doing a bunch of different forms of MC racing.

Pro GNCC riders train a lot harder than Pro MXers. The do a 3 hour race pace several days a week.

I am expecting to see Ryan win a couple of the 125 races like he did last year.

I don't think Sipes is racing Muddy Creek to pay the bills. I have a feeling his contract racing the GNCC's does that.
