FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

Tune-In Alert:
2015 Lucas Oil Pro Motocross and Supercross Champion
Ryan Dungey to Appear on ESPN's SportsCenter

MORGANTOWN, W. Va. (September 15, 2015) - After one of the most successful seasons in the history of motocross, Red Bull KTM rider Ryan Dungey will be recognized for his accomplishments with a special appearance on ESPN's iconic daily sports news program SportsCenter, filmed in Bristol, Connecticut.

For the second time in his career Dungey won both the Monster Energy Supercross and Lucas Oil Pro Motocross Championship titles in the same season in 2015, clinching both before the completion of each respective championship. As a result of his success, Dungey was nominated for an ESPN ESPY Award for Best Male Action Sports Athlete, ultimately winning the fan-voted award and notching a significant mainstream milestone not only for himself, but for the sport as a whole.

With arguably the most memorable season of his career complete, Dungey will now have the opportunity of a lifetime to visit the headquarters of "The Worldwide Leader in Sports" and be a part of its flagship program.

Dungey will initially be featured on the 3 p.m. ET broadcast of SportsCenter on Wednesday, September 16, which runs from 3-6 p.m. ET, so viewers should stay tuned throughout the entirety of the program. On Thursday, September 17, Dungey and his Red Bull KTM will once again be featured on SportsCenter with a special segment slated to air during the 6 p.m. ET broadcast.

In addition to SportsCenter, ESPN's X Games editorial team will shadow Dungey throughout his day on the ESPN campus in Bristol. A variety of content with the champ will be featured on the site in the ensuing days, so fans should continue to check out the page.

A strong social media presence will come from Dungey's visit to ESPN as well. Fans are encouraged to follow the various ESPN channels of social media (ESPN, SportsCenter, X Games), from Facebook to Twitter to Instagram.

That's fantastic. There is nobody I would rather have representing our sport in the limelight more than dungey.

Very cool, it's yet another example of how the sport is getting more main stream attention.

Ryan dungey quote":" first off I'd like to thank Rv for retiring n making this possible"..

In 2014 KR 94 beat me fair n square in mx450.
But in 2015 Kr94 hurt is back and gave me the edge I needed....

Lol kidding.

TV listings show ESPN running several football shows from 3-6pm Eastern.

They do appear to be running several Sportscenters on ESPNews from 2pm to 6pm so perhaps that's the correct channel for today?

Angry Dunge was a little nervous, "you know?"

Who wouldn't be, though, glad he was able to have the experience.

I doubt that will happen. When ESPN was the network actually airing the races Sportcenter paid zero attention to moto except for the year when MC won 13 races in a row.

Too bad that whatever they aired today was apparently buried on the ESPN News channel which is available to far fewer people than ESPN & ESPN2.

With FOX and NBC owning MX/SX TV I would guess that Red Bull cut a check to ESPN to make this happen more than I believe ESPN has an interest in MX outside of anything other than the X games.

I'm a super proud fan today. That's the big show right there. Stay tuned for his commercial skit tomorrow on Sports Center at 6pm EST.

I always wondered why football players dress up full suit and tie.

Would be real wierd if dungey that.

Quite a few athletes that are regulars on ESPN know MX and SX and follow it a fair amount and know some of the big names in the sport. Percentage wise I would say more than the general public. Totally cool and Dungey is the man to represent IMHO.

I haven't found any video yet but I'm sure it'll get posted somewhere eventually. There was quite a bit of stuff on the X-Games Twitter feed. https://twitter.com/XGames

Dungey is such a great guy to represent this sport. Mature, articulate, and clean-cut. Fantastic young man. MX riders say "you know" too much though lol. No big deal; Dungey will probably be the greatest by the time he retires.

No you didn't they are running tight with Football stuff because of the Thursday night NFL game and may or may not get it in during this segment. It's going to run though, I'll try to update this thread when I hear more.
