I don´t know how I got to find this in Youtube.... but seems like there is a Russian made Full MX bike. Maybe some Vital fellow speaks russian and can tell us something about this.

That bike need serious suspension/frame work based on video but as all components are out there should not be too difficult to build E-bikes. From RC cars to real e-cars you can do so many things with mapping/programming power that if you can build working chassis around should be good to go.

Hello, I'm Pavel Atonov
I'm FMX pro rider from MadMen team
I'm going to test Russian electro motorcycle Milander SM
I got this bike to make backflip
I thought I would need a lot of time to adapt to the electric engine
I thought it needed several motocross trainings
But on the second lap, I jumped all jumps on this track
Got used to it very quickly
Started to jump the ramp and had no problems
The engine is powerful enough for takeoff
The only difference is there is not the same jerk in the end of the ramp as the fuel engine has
On fuel bikes, I drive up to the ramp on slow speed and add throttle before takeoff
The electric bike does not have such power boost in the end of the ramp
So I have to drive fast before the ramp and up the ramp
In this case, I'm strongly pressed in the ramp because of high speed
But anyway, after two jumps I got used to it and made some easy stunts and a backflip
I think it's a question of the controller adjustments to make power boost when opening the throttle
To be able to drive up the ramp at slow speed and add acceleration just before takeoff
I've tested it on a motocross track
I'm not a professional MX rider and haven't ridden on the track in awhile
The bike runs very fast on straight lines
Acceleration is also fast
And jumps are easy to do
I understood very quickly how to do jumps and use the throttle
I am confident in this bike
I'm not afraid that something can switch off or break
I can ride such a bike for training and shows, for sure
The main feature is lack of noise, so I have to only focus on speed
First time it was not enough
I needed more time and feeling to understand that all is fine
Looking at the bike, it seems weight balance is wrong
But flying on it, I don't feel the difference
The bike is stable, does not lean or tilt
I don't notice the difference in 2-3kg weight
The bike maybe weights 10kg more than the lightest fuel motorcycle, but I don't feel the difference on the track
Very good handling, easy cornering
Easy to tilt the bike and correct the trajectory
I don't see any problem with handling and weight balance
Very important to control the battery charge
On low battery, the power decreases, that is why I didn't jump the 21m ramp on the first day
I trained on the track and the battery power decreased, and in the end it was not enough for the 21m ramp
Charge time is about 2 hours from 220V
And about half an hour from 380V
There is no gearbox but I adapted quickly
This lever is engine rear brake
On fuel bike, I pull the clutch first and brake after to tilt the bike forward
By force of habit I did the same on this bike
The engine brake is so powerful that the bike tilts forward too much. It was horrible the first time.
I always have one finger on the left lever
And it seems to me that I pull the lever trying to make a backflip, because I lean back
I was afraid to do it on this bike because if I pull the lever, the bike doesn't rotate
Very important to understand and get used to this lever. It's not a clutch. It's a very powerful engine brake.
Pro riders have been testing it a whole season in different modes and conditions
There were no problems. Nothing broke.

Actually, Google translated it. Next time you're watching a YouTube video in a foreign language, click the "Closed Captions (CC)" icon and ensure "English" is selected for the Subtitles/CC setting. Pretty rad little bit of technology...

How about a those sweet commie 2 stroke cars. The Trabant. It was such a great design in 1950 they didn't need to change it for 40 years.

It kind of shows how amazing and refined the Alta is!

RIP Alta.

TBH I wouldnt be surprised if KTM picked them up, put Yellow and Blue plastics on them and called thena Husaberg

The future of MX could be crazy. I see a future of a bunch of small electric motorcycle companies. It will be a lot like the MTB world. I few top companies and a bunch of off brands for half the price. Hope we find so standards like MTB. Stuff like head tubes, fork clamps, axle sizes, brake mounts, etc. Then people can get a lower model and upgrade the forks, shock, etc. The top racers would be on the top level bikes, but it will make it affordable for more people to get into the sport. So I think this Russian bike is a good thing.

It might be a good idea for someone to build a 250f/electric kit. Something that would just bolt in. They already have them for mountain bikes.

I explored that option before buying an Alta.
Components are there, but compared to an Alta you would have at least $5000 on top of the rolling chassis cost. A 20-25 horsepower bike could be done. There's enough electric motorcycles out there to source parts if you can get the custom fabrication done.
For the time and expenses involved I chose a demo Alta MXR for $9800 otd.
I built a steel frame 500 conversion that I love for about $5000, but the time involved was a killer.
I won't be building a conversion again unless it's an off the shelf kit.

I would hope that would happen but I am afraid it will never happen with the current structure of the sport.

The manufacturers have way to much power over the decision making.

The most glaring example is the 4 st revolution and the failure of the industry to adjust and bring more parity to the 2 st machines once it was clear that they had tipped the advantage too much to the 4 st.

Set maximum hp, minimum weight, and a claiming rule and see what Innovation brings.
