Im not a carb expert but what do yall suggest im running a little rich and would i cure it with a air/screw adjustment or jet/needle. Im planning on picking up a jd jet kit for the bike. The bike is 2018 ktm 250sx and ive done the initial break in and it runs great just a tad on the rich side. And if it helps im in alabama and its hot, humid, and muggy. Im also running the reccomended 60:1 with motorex oil.

So why don't you start fiddling with air mixture and jetting until it runs right? This is like asking a Doctor to diagnose cancer with nothing more than a picture of a butthole.

Oil oozing out the exhaust doesn't really say much, but I did stay at a Holiday Inn Express last night, so it's probably your muffler bearing.

Even a perfectly jetted bike can have that black snot when it's idling for a bit. As long as the bike runs fine, don't bother..

I appreciate it its been a while since i played with carbs my last bike was fuel injected. It runs great only time i let it idle is around 2 mins to get it warm then ride around easy to get it fully up to temp.

Inspect your plug to see if you are rich or lean, like 434 said you can have drool like that on a correctly jetted bike and when it gets in the silence packing it is hard to get out. Running at race speed and I doubt you see any as it burns out.going slow back and forth in the pits and a slow trail ride wont get hot enough at times to burn it all out.

That makes sense i appreciate your reply. I aint really got to ride it really hard since i been doing the break in on it. Im sorry to sound like a newb but ive never been good with carbs and this is my 1st brand new bike all my other 2stroke bikes has been used thats already been tuned and jetted right. And my last bike was a 15 yz450f fuel injected.
