Looks like longer start straight, 180 bowls, long rhythms and two sets of whoops. This could be good.

No. No it's not, at least in the track map. Both sets have 13 whoops which would be the same as the long section we had at SD.

I counted 11 and 12...(without reading glasses) so I stand to be corrected. Sure looks like this layout will deliver.

?
The roller on exit of the 180, after the sand?

This will make the lcq races great. Some will try to scrub the wall and others might try to send it over for a pass attempt

Back to the traditional 2 Supercross triples, it's been some time since they had two

Track looks great on "paper". I hope it races like it appears it can.

I see no wall jump. I think that’s a ramp.

I think it's more of small ski jump. They had one at rd 2 also. I believe it helps prevent ruts from the turn carrying on to the start straight.

I dont think so, the 1 whoop section ends in a sand corner. Now I aint ever been good at riding sand but I'm pretty sure you ride sand like jet ski. Gas it through the turn. So, I bet we're either gonna see guys backing it down on the whoops there or lots of front ends washing out in the sand.
The other whoop section is decent, I counted 11. Looks like it'll have a good run up, I'm thinking the fast line is going to be outside, whoops, outside. We'll see if that little mound in the middle of the corner stays.

Good point.
Usually those type of jumps destroy speed, and flow.

Was just thinking how much better that entire section from the sand to the finish would be with just fast, balls out racing.
A 180° bowl and 90° to the finish with zero tech !

This track layout looks great, very technical with not a lot of let down. Good air time to recover, but will require a lot of concentration. Long rhythms with options for the fast guys to triple x 3, but most importantly, look at the number of 180 bowl turns vs 90s! That's a SX layout. Look at some of the past legends of our sport: McGrath saying we need more 180s, Reed asking for longer/more whoops, and Stewart wanting an option to make something Stewable, sounds like all the boxes are checked off for this weekend. Let's hope they all stay healthy and we have some good racing. Tighten down those radiator caps!!

Normal whoop sections are between 9 and 13. On this map one shows 11 and the other 13. So they are more like full sets. Yes there have been longer ones. But that would not be normal.

I think that 3D track map isn't showing something that the blueprint map has... What is this about?

Those get posted every year and are the draw ups of the track. It’s very common for the real track to vary from the original design. They’re available on the Supercross site

I'm looking forward to seeing how close the finish line jump is to the final corner... I feel some carnage coming there.

It's there, you can see the bump on the 3d map.

No, I mean the box thing. Thinking maybe some kind of ramped up elevated turn deal.
Or maybe the outside is some how off camber sloping away, the inside being higher, and that's why they put the hump on the inside. Idk, I guess we will see soon.

Wow, I completely disregarded that at first. Now that I look a little closer, the plans look messy on that part. Like maybe that was just an architectural tool they were using for the blueprints but forgot to erase/remove it.

A downward slope makes sense too, and that would be cool. We will know tomorrow at the latest 😎
