I tend to pull for the Suzuki guys just because they are kind of the underdogs in the sport right now in my opinion. They had a rough night in Atlanta though.

Seeing 722 and ARay kicking and kicking their bikes to start as Zacho rode off was painful to watch. Same for Peters after he went down in the main and Mcadoo sailed off.
Decotis took a sand nap, then Lopes rode straight up the berm to the tuff blocks right after in the LCQ. Pretty sure AMart and Reed both went down at some point in their mains too

I actually laughed when i saw ARay and 722 kicking their bikes, i started to wonder if the year was 2010 again?

No but seriously, bad night for Suzuki. I also had Lopes in fantasy and i would've killed it if he would've made the main...

Man, those things didn’t look like they wanted to start!
I wasn’t sure if Peter’s bike even started until I saw him roll thru the whoops in 21st

I will bring this race up every time someone says that "they will stop riding once they can't kickstart their bikes" or that the e-start is unnecessary.

It is such a big advantage to have when you go down in a race or stall the bike.

Suzuki won't start in gear but people kick them over any way trying to save time, sucks they don't have the e start but cut out the mistakes and it shouldn't be an issue

Are all Rekluse clutches Slipper clutches? I ask because I'm considering ordering a Radius X so my New 450 Zook won't leave me kicking endlessly after a tip over in a corner.

I would guess they are on the manual Torqdrive clutch, ML can correct me if i'm wrong.

I was thinking the same thing. I grew up in the 80's on Suzuki's and still root for them but come on people. Time to put on the electric start.

I've rode KTM since 2001 but I, too, sorta pull for Suzuki. A lot of the time my favorite riders end up on Yellow Magic for whatever reason...MC, Albie, RonRon, RC, Stew, KROC, Everts, now Ferris...and I think they are the best looking bikes on track and love how, unlike most manufacturers, they change up their looks a lot, esp JGR. But agreed. It is time Chris Wheeler and the boys do something to trim some weight and go E Start. It is such a disadvantage at times. We all saw ARay, Adam, Kyle and I think I maybe even saw Chad kicking away once. It has to become a priority. The weight of the Suzuki wouldn't be that different to the Kawi, Yamaha, Honda if they do some weight savings before adding E start. Only the KTM and Husky are killing it at the scale.

But yeah, it's time.

If you are racing Supercross...yeah you want electric start. I don't race Supercross or race at all and I'd rather have a kicker.

Kickstarter's for racing are as obsolete as drum brakes and air cooled engines.

Idk, maybe I'm in the minority but I actually like Kickstart bikes just for the simplicity and weight savings. Imagine how light a Ktm could be without e-start, however yes from a racing standpoint it could be a major time-saver...

Me too man. I was like, At least Lopes can still make the main after Decotis went down..Next thing I know, he’s literally riding straight up the berm! So much for “Suzuki-cornering” Whistling (jk, but it was odd to see)

Suzuki is the only kickstart 450, and the heaviest bike though

Not all Rekluse clutches are autoclutches. I'd go with the Radius CX personally. I have one and its simply the best mod I've ever put on a bike. It's amazing.

Pretty sure if it weren't for JGR there wouldn't have been a factory supported Suzuki team.

I was surprised RCH folded after Kenny won an outdoor title. He was on fire in 2016.
I feel like JGR has been good for the brand development-wise though. I hope they don’t fold soon
