Apparently Uncle Ronnie likes expensive coffee? I spotted the "Screaming Eagle" in the back of the Mac-mobile at a Starbucks in Carlsbad this afternoon. I thought the stickers on the back window were a nice touch.

I always rooted for Jimmy and found the hick/hillbilly Ronnie Mac humorous but the vulgar, rude, hateful character he's become...I'm over it. I hope he finds his way out of this dark place.

I never really understood the whole covering up of license plates. We drive around with them exposed all day long, but posting it on the internet is a huge concern?

On Craigslist, people put vin numbers but cover the plate. I’m a car dealer and can’t figure out why that’s a problem.

I am not very concerned about it either, but I may understand people that are sensitive on the subject because it offers a "2 way match" more easily, possibly. You can see lots of cars with number plates on the highway but have no clue about them, whereas a plate + someone that interest you = crazy people can become intrusive or can try to steal you etc. Basically with a bit of connections it gives the full adress, identity, more personal details etc. But at the same time, lots of pros are coming with their pick ups to socal tracks without really be bothered about it, so there is a high probability the MX community is less crazy (and more respectful) that it looks like Smile

It isn't a concern (for anyone with common sense anyway)

If it was, we wouldn't drive around with publicly exposed plates in the first place.

There is a big difference in driving around with your plates exposed and someone putting up a picture to the internet specifically tying you to that plate.

Went from one person knowing it was his to potentially thousands.

This can be about duplicating plates, for speed cameras. Example: people who road race, or mainly drive a lot in france and are scared/upset about speed cameras, because the driving licence contains 12 points and being caught with a phone cost 4 points and +10 miles is like 3 points, which takes 1 to 2 years to recover, are tempted to copy plates. It is a super bad stuffs to do btw, it costs like 4000€ + 6 months of jail on probation if you get caught, not something to do !

It's kind of a "why share personal info of someone" to the whole world kinda of deal... but via things like the plate you can find out vehicle history which could potentially lead to an address or a phone number.

Just best to head it off at the pass and just not share stuff like that.
