This afternoon at the MXGP of Great Brittain, Romain Febvre crashed very hard. The young Frenchmen went Knock Out for a few moments, and after that he felt no feeling in his legs. The medical crew worked on him for a long time to make sure they wouldn't make things worse. After that they went to the hospital. The rumor now is that in the ambulance he start regaining feeling. Lets hope that is true. But till now not is official.

Fudge.... Positive thoughts from romain

They should remove qualification race. That dumb fag Loungo doesn't even care of riders. Qualification races, prolonged season, absurd tracks, now added SX on the calendar.

By that logic the heats and semis should be removed in SX as well.
Also the start should be staggered because right now there are too many start crashes because 40 riders go through one turn at a time.
The series has been that long for a decade at least

News now is that he has nothing broken, but that he shaken his head very hard, and his neck hurts a lot. But feeling would be back. That is very good news. Maybe it was just the body that went into shock or something. It's always a big 'shit feeling' when news like that spreads true the Motocross community.

Great to hear, that was a nasty hit to the neck and head. His physical condition saved him on that one.

From what I'm reading it's highly likely or at least it sounds like he got What's called asn edema on his spinal cord which is where your vertebrae sort of flick it and it gets shocked resulting in a "bruise" on the spinal cord itself instead of severing it. You still lose feeling below the waist in your legs for a little bit. I know because this is exactly the same thing that happened to me when I crashed hard at Paris about 6 years ago and broke my T5 T4 and T6 Pine when I was done crashing I had no feeling below my waist and it scared the absolute shit out of me about 10 minutes later it all started coming back I was so relieved but was starting to consider life with no feeling below my waist it is one really surreal and scary feeling I'm glad he's ok

I hope he is ok. And I hope he heals up quickly.
I won't send any prayers, for obvious reasons to any reasonable person.

Been off here all day and just saw this. Terrible news , but very good news if he got his feeling back in his legs. Actually , that's great news. What are the chances that last years US National champ and the MXGP both break their backs in the same week? That is unreal and super shitty!

Very classy, thou men of God.

Romain should end up OK, that's the important thing.
Glad examination and analysis revealed nothing too serious.
