Once Eli got back to his old self after his injury people forgot that before Kennys injury he may have been the FMOTP at that time. Eli to start 2015 may be the fastest anyone has ever gone besides James or Herlings though I think that probably was the fastest ever beating Dungey by over a minute at times, but Kenny has been the only guy that was just as all out fast as Eli in a sprint and even faster at times. Theyre very evenly matched at full strength and the sports much better when theyre both healthy. I really hope Kenny can get back to his old self speed wise and we can get American mx/sx back to full strength. Those two battling it out for 1-2 is poetry in mx motion.

If Kenny were healthy him and Eli would be dominating the 1-2 spots and then with Marv, Barcia, Ando, Baggett rounding out the top 6. Thats a very fast group of guys. For the good of the sport I hope we can have all of them at full strength for a season. Thats probably the fastest top 6 of any mx championship in the world though Herlings, Gajser, and Cairolli make a very fast top 3. Cant wait to see them all battle it out at Mxgp Usa and Mxon too. Kenny, Herlings, Tomac, Cairoli are the 4 fastest guys in the world at full strength and I think team wise if Tomac goes to Mxon with Ando, Baggett, Osborne, Martin in some combo thats hard to beat. Either way a healthy Kenny is a healthy us mx circuit so I hope he gets back to full form.

Roczen in 16 was every bit as fast as Tomac in 15 if not faster.

And about 10x smoother
No way watch Tomac at Glen Helen at 1:47 where he turns a divot in the ground on the uphill into a step up that he whips sideways so when he lands he's already turning and leaving the berm. Soooo smooth on that Honda. Kenny and him at full strength are evenly matched and I think Kenny was a tad bit faster in the past when they were healthy but Tomac has really come into his own so he may be faster now we just don't know yet. When they're both healthy and at full speed American Mx is going to be incredible especially with Ando, Barcia, Baggett, Webb, Bogle, Wilson...etc

Agree with you except that Roczen was also dealing with a current/nagging back injury throughout that whole season that he said didnt allow him to ride or do a lot of his training. I'm not saying hes gonna win it all this year but after yesterday, ya never know. If history repeats itself, it is an even # year right now. Kenny has won the last 2 of those 450 mx titles & both were over eli & dungey. #14 #16 #18 is all yours Kenny, keep your head down & go kill that shit!?
Also to note, 16 was his 2nd year on suzuki. Now 2nd on Honda. I know I know, far fetched at this point, but Kenny has a history of being smart & not over riding his abilities in mx & eli has a history for big ejects. Should be a great season if K-Rex94 can keep on heading forward!
Roczen has done great in his come back, and yesterday was nothing short of amazing, but to say Eli has a history of big ejects and...
Roczen has done great in his come back, and yesterday was nothing short of amazing, but to say Eli has a history of big ejects and Roczen doesn't really doesn't make much sense to me. I mean at this point Tomac has more race wins in the past 2 years than Kenny has races completed. Not to rain on the parade here but I just think that statement is almost the opposite of what is reality.

That being said Tomac could wad it up at Lakewood again and I might have to eat my words..
Talking MX specifically. I really can't recall any big eject in MX for Kenny if memory is correct. Also, a side from that, eli just has...
Talking MX specifically. I really can't recall any big eject in MX for Kenny if memory is correct. Also, a side from that, eli just has more wtf moments big or small. I know ken hasn't raced in 2yrs. I wouldn't put $ on him for the title cause I'm not stupid to realize he just needs to build. However, if both were at full 100% I think Ken has the edge cause hes way smoother & less likely to crash. Both amazing to watch & totally different styles tho. Just my opinion
Ahh ok, yea when talking MX specifically it really isn't much of a discussion. I think Kenny still has more overall wins despite missing an entire year.

Either way having Kenny back out there and near the front is awesome. It's only a matter of time till he's on that top step too, I Kenny will win Red Bud, he is amazing there.

Those weren't just "broken arms", and you know that. Both guys are absolute warriors, I wouldn't put one above the other or discredit the comebacks of either.

Not just cause its ken, but this is one of the best photos I've seen in a while. It's like the photo version of those gaiser scrub videos?

And I agree Jorge

Being a KTM homer I was a bit down on KROC when he left us...
Based on how he has handled his injuries....I would root for this guy on any brand, anytime, any day.
He is a legend !

Back in November we were doing the VitalMX 250 shootout and GuyB was at this jump shooting. I remember feeling sorry that he had climbed up there as there was no way he could get cool photo from that spot. Seems that you only had to add skilled rider and the photo turns amazing Laughing

I don't get your point. ?

Some people were convinced he was going to win a SX "very soon" only to be downed again.... What I stated was fact. I challenge you to deny it..

Ken is a freak of nature for sure. Looks to me like his right outside boot is dragging the ground! Very close either way. Talent is undeniable, that's for sure. Good shot by guyB too tho

So Roczens already better than Baggett and he only rode twice before this season. Kenny is a BEAST! Already getting seconds. Once hes back to full strength hes gonna be a problem.

Just checked the results sheet, 2-2.... I had to check again to make sure I read that correctly, that's really impressive...

I was slightly dozing off on the couch & woke up to see him still in 2nd. I thought I was still groggy/dreaming so I went out, smoked a cig, & chugged some water before going back to check again? so happy.

I totally agree with you as well super dave. I was just getting ready to post that. I believe he is only at 75% & that's being gracious I'd say. I think eli is at least at 95%. That might be a problem after a week off & Kenny getting closer to 85-90% by highpoint. I dont think even ken himself expected it this soon

What Roczen is doing is pretty amazing, considering everything he's been thru physically & psychologically! Every Team Manager except the one wearing a Green shirt must be looking at there guys thinking, "Whats my riders excuse"?

interestingly, although honda paid a lot for him to race.

the attention hes drawn with these 2 amazing comebacks is doing a good job for honda, not title win level good but still.

The guy is unreal. I stopped doubting him after how well he did in supercross before the hand injury. I think if we've learned anything about Roczen by now is that you can't write the guy off regardless what situation he's in. He has to be the mentally toughest guy in the sport right now. Pure fucking animal.

I'm not exactly a KR fan...but I am pretty much in awe of the guy. I NEVER imagined he'd be up at the front of any races this year, not to mention leading for a bunch of laps. Whether or not I especially like the guy or not...I have to admit that he's probably the toughest guy out there mentally, and if Eli bobbles Roczen is in position to swoop in for a win or two...or hell, even the championship. Freaking amazing!

Hell ya! I have not been a big K-Roc fan, but damn, how can you not? Dude is crazy skilled, and his determination is off the charts! Would love to see Eli vs K-Roc vs Herlings in 2019 when Kenny is hopefully 100%.

This - I really thought BB4 would have something to prove outdoors after having some good races indoors. But nope, being passed and dropped by the guy that was injured most of the SX season...MM25, does he have some injury he's hiding, last year at least he put up a fight...disappointing, well at least Ken's trying to put some excitement in this 450 series. DC should give him a bonus, people would start to leave after the 250 class like back in the RC domination days, if he wasn't there to give Eli some competition.

It's Incredible to say the least !!!!! I hope he keeps himself in check and some luck lands on his side for once, I would love to see him confident and 100% healthy for SX. A good run in the Outdoors would be icing on the cake. How can you NOT be a fan of the guy?
