First off...I like Ken and have been pulling for him to title for years.

That interview during the qualifying show was the most cringe worthy interview I have personally ever witnessed.

Mad respect to Ken for overcoming horrendous injuries in his career... But dude....SHUT THE F**K up already about your health. It is SO played out. That posted "December" video...why the hell would anyone post that? Nobody needs to know all of your freaking health history. My wife who was in earshot of the TV tonight during the interview...she says "that guy is annoying". ...and I completely agree. I'm so tired of whiny Ken.

Some of the worst lines I've ever heard in an interview...Kristen Beat: Not once...but 2x "Do you know how strong you are", then "Do you see yourself as this Spartan" and "i'm even getting emotional". It sounded like a teenage crush. I turned around and found my wife with her jaw on the floor looking at me like..."WTF are you watching".

If I was new to the sport and witnessed that train wreck interview....well, lets just say this is why our sport is a joke to the average viewer.

Absolutely pathetic

WTF.

I agree. I also think the way they portray the sport is retarded... but that is not a new sentiment.

I've always been a Kenny fan... but this is lame. Imagine riders from the 70s and 80s or Carmichael talking about his health like this. It would never happen.

I always feel like kenny moaning early like this and past years is just softening the blow for us when he pulls the mid season fade and has an excuse all ready lined up...

He had a rough December, we acknowledge that.

But using that as an excuse is now not an option after last week’s performance.
If his fitness was ‘there’ last week then it was also ‘there’ this week.
Use a different excuse this week if he must, but a rough December can’t be it.

A rider of his profile is sort of screwed no matter what he says -- if he didn't mention being sick and went out and had a bad finish, everyone would jump his sh!t saying he isn't training and that he is out of shape.

As a fan I'm tired of him seemingly always having things pop up, but I have no issues with him being transparent about them.

I don’t think he chooses the narrative for these interviews.

He agrees to sit down for them and knows why. Kenny is a savy marketing guy with a strong agency/pr team behind him. They don't witlessly stumble into a sit down interview on the second week of racing.

I wouldn't be surprised to see him retire at the end of the season.

Roczen reminds me of when I come home from a great day of riding, but my wife is complaining about cramps, being tired etc. and you know it's real, but you really don't want to hear negative shit to harsh your vibe.

All he had to say was he had a rough night, didn’t ride well enough, made critical mistakes and he’s gonna work on everything and be better next weekend. This thread wouldn’t exist if he just took ownership for a poor (by his standard) ride.

And gets annoying when Ken gets all fired up and rants about how he doesn’t care what people think or say about him but then proceeds to quote comments that clearly have him all worked up.

It’s the production team’s narrative he just answers the questions.

Remember the Kenny who got run the f*ck over at Millville Moto 1 and then came back and won moto two and didn’t make a big deal about it.

Dude got his head run over in the whoops during practice and just carried on. Had a rough night , and just left it there.

He can’t help the story lines the production crew are going after.

Double-dose of pre-workout, then skipped leg day…

Or the 4L60 crapped out in his squatted Silverado and he’s upset. Could go either way.

We all know for Ken to be able to ride after the accidents is remarkable but lately he always seems to be complaining about an issue. I understand he was being asked questions but he also rambling all over the place and I agree it was hard to watch at times.
