To be honest i don't think Kenny needs Aldon Baker. At the end of the day he's been training with him for about a year now, why does he need to continue? He's perfectly capable of going away and doing the same training schedule he was doing with Aldon on his own. The RCH shop and test track is in California and Aldon's compound is in Florida, that's got to be a pain in the ass. I've never got the big deal with everyone having personal trainers anyway

I always figured they needed personal trainers for the same reason they have dedicated suspension guys, and dedicated motor guys, etc.
Why not just hire a suspension guy for a year, and then fire him and just start doing what he did (I'm sure the mechanic is perfectly capable of doing the same work after he learns the suspension guys methods), right?
They have specialists for the suspension, motor and who knows what else on the bike...and it makes sense to have one for their body as well (at least in my opinion).
Exactly this. There is a lot more to having a personal trainer than just doing the work outs. You have to know how to read charts , evaluate each individual in many different ways , every day , what to eat and when to eat it......and push the athlete past comfortable zones. Believe it or not.....there is a science to it. And if Kenny had only been doing it for a year.....he's barley scratched the surface of what Aldon has knowledge of.
These guys win races at functioning at 100%. Most racers only get to about 95% and can't figure out where the hell to get the other 5%. A specialized training can fill that gap and at least get a racer to perform to the best of his ability.
And there goes Jeffro. One of God's own prototypes. A super high-powered mutant of some kind never even considered for mass production. Too weird to live, and too rare to die.
