I know it's early but past history says neither Roczen and Tomac will ever win a SX title. Both are multi time outdoor champions so it's hardly a fair comparison. But if that's the way history plays out again, who will be the greatest rider to never win the premier SX title?

Bradshaw because he choked his away and then lost his mind after winning so many races that year. Tomac will more than likely still win one or more, don't know if Kroc will ever be back at the same level he was before he got hurt but I wouldn't count him out yet either.

Roczen is 2 points back and Eli 3 back with 13 rounds still to go.

Jumping the gun is an understatement!

Bradshaw had to work awfully hard to throw that last race, did everything except pull off the side of the track and let those guys go by. They should have given him the championship anyways.Laughing

Did that episode change the way contracts were written going forward? I remember Lunnis was pissssssed, throwing tools and slamming drawers.

Didn’t it come out later that Bradshaw wrecked his knee the week before the final or something like that?

Lunnis was a maniac. Wonder whatever happened to him.

I must have missed something back then . What reason would he have had to throw it ?

Maybe he put all his money on Stanton in Vegas, like the Satan vs Jesus fight on South Park

Bradshaw would have been locked into a contract with Yamaha (for $250K) had he won the title, he later signed for $450K.

Interesting, I think Roczen OR Tomac will win before they are done but not so sure that both of them will. Which will it be...hmmmm

I don't think he threw the race so he could sign for more money because I think racers want the championship and number 1 plate more but I have also seen crazier things people will do for money so you never know. Unsure

Wasn’t that the year they had to move the final because of the LA riots? I believe they pushed it back to June and outdoors had already started- then Bradshaw tore his ACL in outdoors and had to ride that last SX race with a torn up knee.

But you can't say he hasn't put 110% into it each time he's gone. Think Germany and Kegums. I ask that whoever we send put in 110%. If they come up short, well then it wasn't meant to be. I hate that we've lost as much as we have the last 8 years or whatever it is, but if the guys are all doing their absolute best and come up short, well I can respect that and support them.

I think JMB did a lot of running second so Bradshaw did not get the title in the last race, Something that JMB certainly did with a lot of pleasure, because with Bradshaw and Mattiasevich they were always fighting, here a picture of when finishing a race, JMB takes off Bradshaw's glasses

Yes, but after not wanting to go a year to be able to hunt and go to the MEC, it is not good to fail in your own country.

I do not think Tomac will win the title of SX, and Roczen, I doubt it will.
Now better riders are coming out, for example in Kawasaki I see Savatgy better

He failed for not going? I'd rather these guys pass vs going and not trying because they don't want to be there. And realistically, a chance at $1,000,000 or pay to go race MXdN and have people do nothing but shit on you if you don't win?

Bayle pretty much hated Stanton and rode around behind Bradshaw at a snails pace until it looked like Bradshaw was about to fall over.
