I thought he explained that he ran it stiff for safety knowing it would hinder performance, he made that choice, and tried to explain it. Unsuccessfully it seems.

I personally believe his not stellar performance was not just a case of having a stiff set up. That’s just my opinion though. Because we all know that pro riders never make excuses or tell us what’s really going on😂
Funny so many posters in this thread cannot understand what I am getting at. Isn’t this the rider that very much prefers a stiff set up?
Wow,
I Can Never understood the fanboys . Try a different angle chief, the shit you're spewing just bogged

Congrats to Ken, and all involved in a special win

I feel like riders go off the deep end with set up and end up reverting back to stock / baseline settings.

Those interviews show that it was a gorilla on his back not a monkey.

When I look at the stories, work, and history of these riders, I'm finding it hard to root for any specific rider. I wasn't rooting for Roczen, but I can't lie.....it's cool to see him get that win and his mojo back. Last week I was stoked as hell for Barcia and stoked to see AC doing so well. I like the unpredictability in the 450 class that's a result of having so many guys on the gate that can win on any given day. I dont want to see one guy dominate or even 3.
In the next weeks, I want to see Tomac win, Anderson win, Webb win, and if Mookie pulls one off I'll be way happy for the dude. AC winning would be pure gold. Old man Brayton winning one would be neat to see. As hard as they all work, the injuries, the comebacks, etc etc I am finding myself happy forever wins and bummed for any of them who crash or wind up placing further back than what they should. The ones I find myself rooting for each week are the ones who are capable of winning that haven't won one yet. This is the first year I have been that way, and it's more enjoyable to watch than it ever has been. Good for Roczen. He's a fighter and earned it.

I took last weeks statement as KR calling out his team for not letting him soften the suspension. After that public announcement it would be hard not to let him have his way, any bad results would be on them. It's well known that Honda always felt the blame for his accident was soft suspension, right or wrong. It's also well know that KR has always wanted softer suspension than his team, going back to the JGR days when his father delivered KYB suspension and the team basically kicked him out of the pits and banished him back to Germany. Of course it ended in a title for a team famous for setting up bikes poorly.

Fast forward to last night, when on the podium KR stated that he wanted to go even softer, but since it got him a win he might just run it the way it is for now. He certainly wasn't wrong based on the results, and it never ceases to amaze me that teams pay multi million dollar contract's to rider's who have spent their lives racing and knowing what works, and then won't let them run the setup their way.

Last night makes A1 all that more baffling to me.
He literally said the reason and backed it up. How the hell is it baffling?
