Because their streaming platform is shit. I've sent them respectful messages concerning different things including the streaming platform via Instagram and they blocked me. Sent them emails with suggestions to improve their program and never received any response.

I suggested they use livestream.com which is what the snocross series uses and it's flawless. Full HD, chat platform on the side so fans can interact while watching the races, great sound, etc. Just overall 100% better.

They say they want to help the sport grow in Canada and one way to do that is to provide a good streaming package to the fans worldwide. Why not invest in something that is already proven instead of what they're currently using.

They want live TV by next year...

Is that enough for Facciotti to take the title over Thompson?

No. Points structure gives 30 points for a moto win not 25 like the US.

Colton is heading in the final moto of the year with a 26 point lead.

Live timing is down.

Been trying to connect to the stream for a while now and it's not working so I couldn't tell you what's happening or what happened.

Is Colt signed to race next year? Curious, I can't remember how old he is so...

Signs point to retirement. He's in his last year of his 3 year contract with GDR Honda. Colt is 29/30 and turned pro at age 14.

There's still the "SX" portion of the Rockstar Energy Triple Crown Series he has to race which starts in September. He's down 5 points behind Cole Thompson. If he wins the 100g's after the tour there's a very good chance this will be his last year.

Could he continue for a few more years? Absolutely. Medaglia is the same age and he's still putting great results.

Personally I would like to see him go at it 1 more year simply because I think he can defend the title. I believe earning a 6th title would make him the best Canadian rider in history.

At a couple rounds he made things look so easy it was rediculous. He's so smooth it just looks like he's out cruising around but 30+ seconds ahead of everyone.

Hoping he can put a solid ride at MXdN. I think we have a team that can break the top 10. Pettis just won the 250 title, Colt won his 5th 450 title and Benoit is fast. He came into the series with an injury. If it wasn't for that I think he would have finished higher up in the standings. He believes the team can earn a top 10 result. We'll see.

Forgot to mention his teammate Dylan Wright is looking to move up to the 450 class. If that's the case, he'll more than likely be the one replacing Colt.

Edit: Took a while to respond because I still don't get quote/post notifications. No issues with the PM's though.

Awesome pics! Congrats to Facciotti and Pettis.

The competition at the top was very good this year in both classes.

I would rather the nationals were on Sunday here in Canada, I think it’s a better fit from a fan perspective. I like it for the US nationals though, way bigger fan base.

Hoping they go back to Sunday racing in 2019. At least for the MX portion of the series.

Arenacross/Supercross on Friday & Saturday works given that time of year.

We had a good MX season and I'm glad the titles went to Canadians. Nothing against the Americans, it's just been a while since a Canadian won the 450 class and it's nice to see.

Agreed.

I was at Gopher and Goerke and Epstein were very very fast but Facciotti managed a good mx series. He wasn't up to their pace at Gopher but he limited the damage. Too bad Alessi got hurt and Benoit didn't start the series firing on all cylinders.

I wonder if Goerke was a step off his pace of the last few years or same guy? I know he had a mechanical that cost him.

The most puzzling thing for me is that Maffenbeier didn't win an overall all season. He was the defending champ yet no 1st overall.

Great posts and pics Maverick! As a Canadian I been following and warching ama and cmrc championships for 15 + years (back to jsr and klatt era)

I don’t think wright wants to move up to 450 yet, i am sure he and gdr wants him to win and defend a 250 title first - he is still learning a lot and hes one of the pure talent we have in Canada!

For pettis, im sure he wont stay with mx101 as they dont have the same budget $$ as gdr and monster (im prretty sure he will end up racing ama since hes so fast)

For Colton, i don’t think he will retire, he had a bad year last year with his newborn baby and so on, i am sure he is still passionate and wants to continue!

My fav rider always been Benoit since we’re the same age and i saw him race 65-85 the big bikes, he had a gnarly crash in April and he was hauling ass (was faster than alot of top ama 450 guys at the practice track there), i feel he will be a title contender if he stays healthy !

I was kinda disapointed by Georke and Epstein’s speed this year, expected more from them!

Tyler Medaglia really stepped up his game and foud another gear so happy for him!

Can’t wait for MXON! We have our best team ever and we will crack the top 10 with our best result for sure!
