Wonder if they are getting counterfeit Chinese chains? Seriously…. I have been using RK GBMXU chains for 10 years, never a failure….. I get about 30 hrs before I replace them…. I ride a lot of sand, which generally kills chain & sprockets.

The guys we’re watching on tv just might be twisting the throttle a bit harder than you…

This is not a good look for RK this year.

Run many RK gold on my kx500s. Never broke one. They don’t stretch very easily either
I put their black chain on my kx250 and it hasn't stretched at all only paid like $35 for it

Did Cody Schocks team buy up them spare husky chains?

Damn... Sad
Right? That kid can't catch a break. What is that... three ruined motos because of chain failures now?

Both these teams are sponsored by RK. You suppose RK is providing them with knockoffs of their own product?

The number of chain failures this year is troubling. Is the raw material supplier forging metal certifications? Because that stuff happens, supplier says this metal meets X specs and in fact it doesn’t. Just speculating there.
RK for sure does receipt testing before they pay for the materials.

Interesting as I've used RK ringed chains for well over 10 years on 450's. I switched about a year ago as the longevity of the RK had gone down considerably. Something changed as the top and bottom of the chains were wearing flat quickly from the contact they experience from the chain slider and chain guide. I even got to the point that I'd flip them over halfway through their life cycle to get a little longer longevity. I've been having much better luck with Dunlop ringed chains. Sort of sad as I was a big fan of RK chains and bought many dozens but no more.
