Got a 125 for nickles on the dollar . It needs a cylinder and head. How's the 144 kit on your rm's treated you? Worth the 550 millanium is quoting me or does an rm 125 simply need to stay a 125?
the higher gears. You'll notice the extra torque
The Shop
1) The power is better. The RM139 gives a big increase in bottom and mid as well as a nice top end pull. The RM144 is too much bottom and mid for our preference.
2) The Max Power RM139 piston is much lighter than the RM144 piston. The RM144 needs to have the crank balanced to run without vibration. The RM139 does not vibrate.

Tjat 57mm vs 58mm is an mxa old wives tale from when max rpm was rpm in socal
You are right though, 5cc on a 15 year old bike wont change anyones life, back in the day, the rpms kits cost more than some peoples bikes
Pit Row
The 144 seemed to just have better roll on power that made things a bit easier to do. Bit more grunt to help keep it on the pipe but still ran like a good 125 on top.
The case grinding is really easy to do and whoever does the cylinder work will also grind the powervalve to match.
